  • That's bad news, I was creating effects that I liked, but they become unusable, it seems like a very limited system to me

  • I'm using some effects on an object, including the water effect, I like how it looks, the only problem is that when I advance with the character and the camera, and the object with the effect is entering or exiting the screen, the animation becomes very fast, why? Can it be fixed?

  • "myfolder/"&sprite.variable&".png"

thanks, I tried again today and it worked, I think yesterday I had put the initial letter of the folder lowercase, while in the game it was uppercase... but now I still have a problem, the variable in question can vary its contents, and I have many folders, if it indicates in the path of a folder, it excludes the contents of all the others, I could remove all the files from the folders but the organization would be affected, isn't there a way to indicate a generic folder?

  • It doesn't work, it doesn't show me the image as before, in this case the variable is from a family, I don't know if it makes any difference from the normal sprite.

  • I have a project where I upload images with sprite.variable&".png" how do I indicate the path with myfolder/ ??

  • Usually, unless you tell the character to stop by stopping pressing the buttons, the character doesn't stop when he turns, and the speed doesn't change unless you tell him to change it.

  • I don't quite understand what the squares are created based on, but can't you just make them invisible and visible depending on some variable?

  • I've never understood why there isn't a dedicated behavior

  • In the export you can select the extension for lossless format and for lossy format, but it does not ask you to select one or the other, for example I would like to export the images in avif, but they are always exported in webp

I definitely don't have specific data in my hands, I just read 1950000 million game creators every year, on their page, maybe not all paying etc but I thought the revenue was good, and that some independent programmers like you are able to create fantastic things, they could perhaps make use of some people only for a period and not for life, but as I was saying it could be that I am saying something stupid and that as you say they cannot afford it, even if it seems strange to me XD

    > Would love them to hire a developer to make plugins full time, even if its outsourcing some work to talented devs in the community, like they've been doing with example files.

I actually want that but for effects. Shaders can do so much magic.

I've seen the vfx that can be created in Unity, I imagine that creating a system like that is a gigantic job, but I'm sure something more could be done, creating colored lights in games and energy effects would be epic

One of the main problems seems to be that people would like to be able to use more mechanics in an easier way, but that the development team cannot keep up with all the requests, thus ending up putting them aside for years, and that they are given priority to things not expected by the community. Now maybe I'm missing something and I'm talking nonsense, but doesn't construct have almost 2 million paying users? Isn't it possible to hire 2 or 3 more people to take care of creating the most requested new official behaviors?
