  • Anybody know? Anyone here develop for android? Anybody?

  • A great demo from Zak Parrish at GDC for anyone wondering what all the fuss is about. Very drool worthy!

Make sure you watch that in 720!

  • What's the largest size of your image files?

  • So, do you not want to use the collision polygon in the Edit Image/Sprite?

  • Did you find an answer to this? I have only seen people buy other apps as upgrades. I don't know if it can be done or not.

  • His game made a lot of $$ on iOS and Android, so porting games to more platform is the best approach. I see him as a perfect example for potential of C2 users, because C2 is able to do mobiles and steam/pc/mac games off one code base.

Essentially he did mention spending money on marketing his games, prior to getting Steam Greenlight where the major $$ was.

Certainly, sounds good, but like it says in the article, not the easiest thing to do.

  • From the youtube video, it looks like you can play the game blindfolded! Looks like from the video the score doesn't work. I also think it is a bit too much like the original, except that it is waaaaay easier.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Oh, this blog series is an excellent read for any other new indie dev: http://www.gamasutra.com/blogs/DavidGal ... Part_V.php

    Really eye opener.

Interesting, from an indie PC view.

  • I just want to add that I would easily throw down $100 for good working native code exporters...or just something that worked directly from inside C2...easily $100! So get someone working on it!

  • In the end, it will be mutually beneficial for Scirra and Ludei to work together to fix these problems. It will definitely translate into many more users for both.

  • I favor CocoonJS mostly but am crossing my fingers that a better alternative will come up soon (I haven't tried crosswalk lately but last time I tried it it just wasn't as fast and apk file sizes are too big). russpuppy2014-02-09 21:42:49

Thanks for all of that info! I was wondering though, which you found easier to actually use and if there were certain features that were unique to each when building it.

  • Well, if a big company wants to save money they can ship their programming overseas. EA treats their programmers like disposable tissues...and has been thinking of going overseas as well. That help your thinking?
