    anyway I think that if there are seams on tiles with linear sampling, then there is - in fact - no real use for many people who would like to use tiles

    making games is serious business - where people invest money and they want profits from it. Which means that game developers try to minimize possible risks. And they don't have time to wait. Now, with 3rd party exporters, risk connected with Construct 2 is quite big. That's why Scirra have almost 1,000,000 downloads but can mention only a few, bigger, really polished games.

    anyway when I tried Airscape demo on my 1,5 years old laptop, with 2x core AMD and 8 GB - the game wasn't 100% smooth (and it was not connected with low/high details)

  • Other issue is that events are going in one big loop,

    so 100 events may be good for simple game,

    but 10.000 events (I guess) could kill even desktop

    also bullet behavior that isn't 100% smooth both on mobile/desktop

    also saying "use Crosswalk" is not serious at this moment

    and +18MB apk size can dramatically decrease number of downloads on Google Play

    but yeah... anyway: there is no competition with anything similar to event sheets

  • You should search this forum because this topic was issued many times. Anyway:

    PhoneGap - very slow but possible to add other SDKs, small APK, not good for games

    CocoonJS - good for games, stable, 10 MB APK

    Crosswalk - still experimental, audio issues, slower than CocoonJS and bigger APK 18MB

  • I think it's like Russian roulette:

    I have 2 apps, one is 1280x720 and other is 1280x720

    one is OK (no optimisation tips)

    second says that APK should use extra space on 7' tablets

    of course both have exactly the same settings on C2/CocoonJS

    Bad news:

    1st Nokia Android phones will be low end for low price. It means 800x480 4'inch screen, dua core Snapdragon CPU with 512 MB Ram for basic model (better one will have 768 MB Ram)

    According to Engadget "The X family uses a forked version of Android 4.1.2 that uses the standard AOSP but doesn't have access to Google's suite of services (such as the official Play Store, Gmail or other core apps)"

    but on my laptop (some dual-core AMD with 8 GB Ram and AMD HD 6480 GPU) it has good FPS but it's not 100% smooth

  • To get:

    • smooth and crisp graphics,
    • easy to build / edit,
    • no texture bleeding etc.

    Does anyone used TileMaps to build platform levels?
