  • I'm reworking on this little mobile game. It works with CocoonJS as a native app. but it's too simple so I wanted to add some features.

    This is the old version, which shows 62 fps in CocoonJS launcher. It contains some Korean language for translation but there would be no problem to check logic.

    This is what i'm working on now(in English). I added leaderboard by clay.io & shop. You can see there's some variation on the designs. I added some fx, sprites, and so on, but there's not that big change to drop performace. I know physics and some transparent things and rotate behaviors or something are bad for good performance, but that's almost same in the old version. But actually fps drops to 25~30 with my phone(Optimus G Pro).

    So I tried png compression and changed some logic but it was not that effective.

    I don't know what happened with this. It's hard to update game... <img src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • I'm making a little puzzle game, Soul Lantern, for mobile environment. Instead of making each level, I made map generating logic and now puzzle is randomly generated. My concept for this game is that you wander the world to collect soul, so I thought it matches with the theme, because you won't know what you'll face. By the way, some of players sent reply to me that premade stage would be better for this game. What do you think? Which one would be better?

    and there would be some suspense if dragon moves faster by the time!

  • Hi! I wrote review in Google Play, and you updated it the very next day! I'm really enjoying this, and I have question about 'update'. How did you update without changing game progress? What I thought is, if application is changed, all data in the webstorage would be reset. I want to know if the data is preserved by itself, or you did something different.

  • When I make native mobile games, I know I can use webstorage as a saving slot. But does it preserve data when application is upgraded by google store or something?If not, how can I save it?

    Thanks! That music is in the Construct2 Free Game Asset Bundle which is free to C2 users. In case of FX, I made some of them and get them from Freesound.org.

    The map is randomly generated, so you can play limitless levels.

    This is a rough version of game. I'm making this for Android native app with CocoonJS. Now basic things are almost done, but there's still a lot to do. I'm working with some art things(which I'm terrible at) and polishing details.

    I would be so appreciated if I can hear your opinions and advice about gameplay, design, artwork, translations and other stuffs.

  • Hello. I have some interests and ideas about arcade games but there was no way to realize it. After my meeting C2, my hobby changed from playing game to making game. I'm really enjoying this. Thanks, Team Scirra!

  • Thx for awesome plugin. It works well with alphabets but not with other languages like Hangul. I wish C2 would support diverse real font but this is still a great alternative.

  • I set it at LetterBox Scale on the Export (Even Though Cocoon Defaults it to Scale Outer) Then choose "Scale to Fit" and only one of the orientation options (instead of checking both) as long as the app is put together right that combo has scaled with all of my android devices.

    I` m gonna try that option. How does it look like? You may get black bars on right or bottom of the screen, or get some of your assets cropped by screen. How do you manage it?
