  • Sure you can, but if you want it to act like a regular button you'll need 3 frames. The normal one plus one for hovering over and one for clicking the button.

    Though I would just make my own button sprites since, in my opinion, the regular buttons don't really look good in games.

    And yeah, you'll probably have to change some conditions. But replacing some button events with mouse events doesn't take too long if you just copy/paste the conditions.Sounds like I have some work to do. Thanks, though.

  • If you add the mouse object to your project, you can use the condition "On object clicked" to make the sprite object act like a button. That's neat; but can I implement the sprite without having to re-write all my code?

    EDIT; Could I copy the button image to the sprite so that it looks like all the other buttons on the page?

  • Farming, like you water the crops and wait and they grow and you harvest and get coins to buy more seeds or items or land or whatever you spend money on. I've only seen a game with plants in it, once and still don't know if it's possible to add like a store or pause button, and other aspects of farming games.

  • oh yeah , it's a button , is it ? You need to make it a sprite ... If you want to implement a troll farm !How can I make it a sprite and make it click-able at the same time? Yes, if you double click the layout and click on the "button" thing is what I'm using.

  • dropbox.com/s/frvkbo71c9mribt/Asteroids.capx

    Take a gander at that. I'm not sure if I did that right, but let me know. Any feedback is appreciated. Destroying the asteroid seemed to work. The modification isn't included in the .capx but I added it and everything seems to work now. Thank you.

  • You see, I can't edit it to replace it's image. That's a problem in itself, but basically I cant right click it and edit the image to move the origin point.

  • I've implemented a "Troll button" into the title menu of my game and I want it to spin slowly. I gave it the rotate behavior, but all it does is go in some large orbit and I can't figure out how to make it spin on it's center point.

  • I want an objective based asteroid type game with a space station in the middle and the player orbiting around the ship. The player would point to where the mouse is but I want it to circle the station on a fixed orbit, but have no idea how to do this or if it's even possible. I don't want it doubling back on itself if the mouse is in the center of the station, so the ship shouldn't pivot on it's center. Any ideas?

  • I want some asteroids, say 3 asteroids, to spawn in at different spots every time you run the game. Okay, I saw that at the start of layout create the object of asteroid at random, okay, but I put the asteroid out of the layout like you would a bullet or explosion and it always gets back into the margins. How do I fix this?

  • Hey Wiz, I downloaded your game and I think I can help some. First off, I just wanted to say that your game is pretty good. I also think that your game would be better orientated as something like this;

    scirra.com/tutorials/37/beginners-guide-to-construct-2/page-2

    (sorry, you're going to have to manually put that into your address bar)

    Where the player sees the player from a top view. If you follow that tutorial, you should start to understand why the bullets only go one way. Hope that helped. Also, your collisions with the pillars is off because you didn't erase all of the image that you didn't want. If you get rid of that and crop the image again, your player should not collide with it until he's actually touching the pillar. ;) Hope I helped you a little.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I'm running Firefox and I isolated the problem to a while that I have in my event sheet. When it's active, it doesn't work. When I disable it, It just runs fine. It's kind of important that this works, so how can I fix it?

  • For the bullets shooting backwards... If you click on whatever is shooting the bullets, rotate it (after you click 'edit animations') so that the gun is facing the right edge of the screen. Move your image point and origin, make sure they're were they need to be, and that should make your bullets fire straight. If not, try it the other way. Hope that helped. If they are firing directly oppostite of your gun, then just spin it a full 180, not 90 degrees.
