  • Kyatric,

I'll go back and do the tutorial again, that I may find the steps I had difficulty with. There may be two tutorials called "arrays for beginners". I'll go check. I'm very much aware of what an array is. Do you think that possibly because you are capable of using C2 in your sleep, that you may have overlooked some steps in the tute that a raw beginner would not understand, yet comes second nature to you? Again I must aver that I mean no disrespect to the tute or Ramones, it just felt a bit to advanced to be called "beginner".

  • Your awesome! Not my questions, but seeing the time you took to answer...very cool! It took me a while to notice #5 and it helped me a lot once i started using it.

I learned a great deal by studying the example files that came with the download. You can study the event sheets and the sprites behaviors etc.

You are NOT alone! I have had a very difficult time with arrays. I absolutely do not mean anyone any disrespect, but the tutorial mentioned above may be awesome, but it is not for beginners. Perhaps beginners to arrays, but definitely not for beginners at construct, arrays, and coding in general. I was not able to follow that tutorial. I only got so far before I had to give up. The tutorial expects you to know very much about construct. I would love for someone to finally come up with a step by step tutorial on arrays. I may purchase a license and set it aside to grant the first person that comes up with a comprehend able step by step tutorial on arrays. I believe there are many people that would be harnessing the powers of arrays if they were not arrayophobes like me.

That info was NOT on the page when I bought my license.

  • Hi Zsangerous,

I totally understand your frustration, in an earlier post on this thread, someone mentioned googling for the answer, and if you don't get the right answers, you are probably asking the wrong questions. OK so what are the questions? I have a grasp of basic mathematics however, I was not sure what questions to ask. Not everyone wishes to have their equations solved for them once, as that will only help them once. My son got straight A's in math in high school because his teacher was vivid in his explanations. Visualizing the causes and effects, helped to determine how much he was able to absorb, understand and implement. When he got to college his professors refused to explain the equations, insisting he just memorize the formulas. His math grades fell. I think it would be nice to have a thread here where the people who have these sorts of questions, can meet up with people who will help with explanations of the processes. "Give me a fish I eat for a day, Teach me to fish and I eat forever". (or something like that).

Anyway I searched "linear algebra" etc. Looked around, went back to a site where I learned a great deal already. I found this video (in a series) that looks like it will be helpful to me. It will seem like kids play to most. I graduated from high school in the 70's, got an "A" in algebra, yet the years eroded all the memories.

Anyway if you get a chance here is a beginners video, linked to a series that might be helpful.

I will be studying these in my spare time.

    Good luck Zsangerous!

  • Shinkan,

Any possibility you can share your discovery. I would like to implement something like this as well. I would like to be able to drag and object anywhere, and wait a second or so, and then on release the object should move, bounce, or slide, back into its original position.

  • Howdy all!

I just bought my personal license, and have no idea how to update my r99 version to the licensed version. I received the codes etc. Plugged the numbers into the fields here on this site after my purchase, yet my program is still running the free version. Is there another step or handful of steps to be taken to activate the personal version? I've tried searching these forums, but the forum search will not recognize phrases, leaving way to many unrelated topics to sift through.

    Any help would be awesome!

  • I was in the process of trying to learn HTML5, CSS3, js, and jquery (since they all kinda go together). To help in my learning process I started following js and html5 game tute's on youtube. I found a C2 tutorial on youtube and decided to take C2 for a spin. The first day I downloaded it, I wound up so intrigued and excited, that I stayed up throughout the entire night that evening! Wow this program is so cool!

Oh and those event sheet examples earlier in this thread with the gals overlapping each other were hysterical!!!! Wow you guys make huge huge funny! Loved it.

  • I think this plugin has a great deal of potential!

I'm not sure I've downloaded any plugins yet, but I'll give it a try.

Pode can you use any type of mic?

  • Wow I'm so excited! Glad to have gotten around to reading this thread. I have not been able to log in here for a while. I followed "Old Confection's" steps, and ...YIPPY! I was thinking about bugging Ash and Tom about my issue in an email, but waited a little while to avoid totally pestering them. Thanks for posting that reply Old Confection!

    I'm very grateful.

       EDIT~~

I got so excited about finally getting into the forums again. I was holding off on purchasing my personal license until this problem was resolved. I'm back in, and I just bought my personal license....YIPPY again! Now I just need to go figure out how to activate it.

  • I just got done mentioning this guy in another thread. My apologies if redundant. However if you go the website... audionautix.com

You can see his requirements for using his free music. He says "Toss a dollar or two in my guitar case? Karma for you. Coffee for me." I would imagine that there are plenty others like him. If I'm not being too idealistic.
