  • Yann you are the mann! <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Thanks for your invaluable contributions!

  • Yeah same here <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I'm in dude, just let me know where I can buy these awesome packs!

  • Thanks Rex, I mixed up some of the behaviors when copying to the plugin/behavior directories - all is working now

  • These look really cool :) is there any chance you'd make characters/monsters? I'd be most interested esp. in enemies

  • Hi Rex, are some of the files corrupt? They don't appear as openable files e.g. rex_board, rex_board_hexTx, rex_chess, etc...

They show up as just 'file' rather than 7z like your other plugins

When I try and open them anyway with WinRar and unload them to the plugins folder, an error pops up: "Unable to load plugin in c:construct2\exporters\html5\plugins\rex_chess':found 'GetPluginSettings' global, but it is not a function

This plugin will not be available in the editor

  • Yeah, that would be good. I'll flick them an email as well and see if they have any docs. If they do, I'll post it up here for everyone.

  • Amazing thanks Rex??

  • I'm guessing you've figured this out already, but if not:

Create a package (not a store export) from your game in Visual Studio.

Once you've done that, copy the folder to your other PC.

There should be a powershell executable in the folder, so right click on it on your new pc and choose "run with powershell"

That will install it to your 'metro' desktop.

  • Hi All,

It's been a while since I've played with CocoonJS, but I had another look recently, and it appears that there are far more expressions and conditions now.

Are there tutorials or instructions somewhere which can tell me how to use everything?

I also see there's useful stuff on the ludei site which talks about using the IAP testbed with the cocoon launcher, and other cool things.

  • Hi All,

I've got a couple of games I'd love to put in the arcade, but I'd need to change the game res to 900px wide.

Is there a way that I can simply use Letterbox Scaling in C2 to fit in the Arcade iframe? If I had to reduce the actual window width to 900px, it would require fairly major rework. <img src="smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • There are a lot of options with C2 to export to different platforms (although most go through to 3rd party services first), and the cost a personal license is minimal in comparison to the quality of the product.

In my own experience, when I started looking at a game engine last year, I started with Game Maker HTML (paid for it), gave up in about 2 days, found out about C2 and never looked back. Obviously this is just my own opinion on both products.
