  • I believe the complexity of making dialogues box within C2, might be one of the reasons behind the lack of rpg in the scirraarcade.

    beside that!, making an rpg is very complex, even it's ease to program from the first glance, the story itself and designing npc and other system formula took many time before release. <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I believe Kickstarter would be meaningless in the current time for Scirra, if Ashley currently focusing on improving HTML5, the support they currently receiving are from C2 purchaser, so what the dontation would be for if it's will goes for HTML5 ?

    unless Scirra use kickstarter for additional exporters (EXE/Native IOS) or perhaps Construct2 editor (MAC/Linux) , than that would be a different story ;).

  • Try Construct 3

  • Good luck in making games with C2 ;)

  • I voted for "multiplayer function" to be first, this would be fun and important, i just imagined how fun to play with many players, ping pong, car racing, tank game <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle" />.

    the second choice simply, we want better tileset support <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    the final choice if i'm able to vote, will go for simple image editor, heck i hope you can cooperate with brashmonkey for that feature if possible <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • piec you better also remove your email from this thread to avoid spammers, like Kyatric advised you, just send an email to licensehelpgah@scirra.com :)

  • Can't wait to test that feature with C2, Thanks Ashley :)

    I forgot to say, that feature when implemented to GameMaker, some image manipulation function became broken, like image_index, hope that wont be an issue with C2 events logic for images, hopefully :).

  • Hello, I'm just a bit curious if this really effect on HTML5 speed performance Ashley ?

    I just compared the HTML5 output from C2 and GMHTML5, i remembered i read somewhere in GMC, when Mike Daily said this images sheet method will boast performance better, because the image will load once than loading them each one separately ?!

    this just a test I did for the same images, one exported from C2 and the other from GM-HTML5:

    C2 exported html5 images:

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32615680/01Images/c2_export.png" border="0" />

    GM-HTML5 exported images (images merged like one sheet when export HTMl5):

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32615680/01Images/ghtml5_export.png" border="0" />

    the question is, does this method really improve HTML5 performance than the regular C2 method ? how about add this feature to C2 ?

    sorry for my English, it's not my native language

    regards~

  • I just made a topic about it in a famous arabian game design forum <img src="smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" align="middle">:

    Im not anti appmobi or hate them, but still have great faith for CocoonJS to became alternative beside appmobi and phongap, especially it's free <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Subscription will make sense for server cloud like upload software, that will export html5 games into native mobile/mac/etc game, and this method alone need to make C2 open for the rest of the audiences also i think the outcome would be slow because users will subscribe when they finish their game, the time/year would cost more if not used wisely!, me personally hate subscription model.
