What next for Construct 2?

Casino? money? who knows? but the target is the same!
  • Selected other. I'd like more control over asset management (sounds, images etc.). Manual asset loading for example, so we can pull whatever we need and handle the loading screens ourselves.

I realize this is a feature many of us could live without, but it sure would make development of asset-intensive projects less painful.

+1 to this and to the events sheet features.

  • Excelent topic, it's cool to know the community is an important part in the project..

I would love to see Family behaviors, not because I need it to my project but because this is really an important thing... also multiplayer online support would be AWESOME and a simple image editor would be cool too..

    if I could vote for 3 things, would be those.. <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Add Online Multiplayer features now and you'll get 100 canceled MMOs. XD In my opinion the editor itself, event sheets features, a debugger, effects, and image editor tools are of higher priority. Oh, and of course better tilemap support :)

  • Improvements to behaviors would also be nice such as allowing down jump on the jump-thru. Relying on workarounds usually involve it being a little bit buggy. An example I remember is if you have a sprite on a platform which moves downwards.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Improve performance on iphone.

  • haha it's like asking what dya want for xmas..... let me see.. err everything please.

  • haha it's like asking what dya want for xmas..... let me see.. err everything please.probably everything on this list (and further more in the future) will be added, the question is the priority of features, what to implement first =D

still... it's hard to answer, there's alot of things that need to be added ASAP

  • Seriously, online multiplayer is so important to you guys at this point? *sigh*

More event sheet features is the smart choice here, folks. ;)

  • For some reason I'm not allowed to vote on this poll, but my vote would go for more event sheet features. They are the base for everything else.

  • In my opinion, Construct2 is currently able to make a single player and the numerous games made is good example. But not having multiplayer fucntion took away the possibility of that type of interaction. I am thinking more along a stable way to make a 2 player online Pong game?

  • Oh I forgot one other thing a save/load system.

  • I voted for more event sheet features.

My second choice would have been a debugger.

  • i voted for multiplayer online.

then i started reading other posts, and i could also see the event features as being equally important. but i read bad arguments about not going with multiplayer. saying that there would be 100 abandoned rpg's is not reason enough to pick event features over multiplayer in my eyes. there are tens to hundreds of 'aaa' rpgs abandoned from development every year, by professionals. not because they don't have multiplayer tech, but because rpgs are hard in every conceivable way, that making a game can be hard. but the multiplayer feature itself would be invaluable to people seeking to make turn-based games, rogue-like crawlers, pong derivatives, board games, racing games, over head combat games, co-op platformers, card games, fantasy card games and list goes on.

it would also go a long way in bringing more attention, developers and positive press to c2, which we would all benefit from.

i'm not ranting, i hope...lol. i just don't want people to feel bad about their choices in this poll, because of some narrowly directed criticism.

like many others have said, this is a veritable christmas list of features to choose from.

it would be hard to characterize any one choice as wrong.

    non-rant rant over...lol.

  • Grid Snap for Collision Poly Editing

Thats my suggestion right now. I also would like to put my vote in for a simple rbga image editor built in too
