  • Hi BluePhaze,

Of course Nathan should receive 50% of the credit too.

    Many thanks.

  • This is true but on smaller devices there is generally less memory available. So having large images will surely have an impact.

  • We managed to pick up an honorable mention award for Learn And Spell English Words.

I have never noticed that before. We have used a virtual keyboard in all of our games without any issues. Which version of C2 are you using? I will check it out.

We had to do the same in order to get it working. I could not find an alternative solutions.

  • I have an email fro AppBackr only regarding competition extension. We emailed Tizen but they have not responded yet.

I'm going to check twitter just in case they have made an announcement there. Don't hold me to this info but I do hope it's true!!!

  • Hi guys,

I have just received an email from my contact at AppBackr that the new deadline for the Tizen App Challenge is December 8. However, there is still no information on the Tizen site!!!

Sure. There's no information about this on the Tizen website. I'm certainly not going to wait too much longer before I submit the apps without appbackr.

I received an email from the director of marketing at AppBackr informing me that the Tizen competition deadline has been moved to December! I have tried to get confirmation of this but I have as yet not received a reply. Can anyone confirm that the competition deadline has indeed moved?

Also, I have fully tested both of our games in the web simulator and emulator without any errors or warnings. Alas, I do not have an actual device. I have followed all the guides and advice given on this forum as well as the Tizen developer forum to ensure that everything has been done correctly. However, the repackaged apps returned to us via AppBackr would not upload to the Tizen Store. I investigated why this was the case and identified that the config.xml file had been changed.

We are still waiting for the repackaged games.

  • Hi,

We are experiencing issue with AppBackr. Our apps passed their scoring tests and they were then repackaged and emailed back to us. However, the repackaged apps could not be uploaded to the Tizen app store as the config.xml file had been edited. The <feature> elements for device resolution had been removed as well as other elements such as <description>. I'm not sure why they did this as both games work without any errors or warnings in the Tizen IDE.

I have contacted AppBackr to get the apps repackaged again with the corrected config.xml file. They responded very quickly but we are still waiting.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I think it is best to package your app correctly before submitting them to AppBackr. That is what I thought I did. However, if AppBackr approve your game then they will send you a repackaged app for you to submit to Tizen.

    I hope this helps.

  • Hi appbackr and C2 devs,

I was a bit concerned that we had not heard back from AppBackr regarding our two submissions, so I sent them an email. Justin from AppBackr replied very quickly stating that there had been some confusion with the app titles. They had both been submitted with the title "Construct 2"!

This is a bit strange as we had packaged the app with the correct titles before submitting them via scirra. I still not entirely sure where the Construct 2 titles came from.

I just wanted to let everyone know, just in case they have not heard back regarding AppBackr app scores.

Thankfully both of our apps got a high score, so we have the green light to submit them to Tizen in the next few days.

Many thanks to Justin at AppBackr.
