  • Hi! i'm working on a RTS project and i'd reached a critical point where, render need to be improve for good FPS rate, well i was reading by there, something about theme, but i've a question.

    I'm applying the technic of destroying not needed sprites out of screen, thats improve a bit FPS rate, my question is, ?GPU renders invisible sprites?, because there is some sprites out of screen i dont need to render 'em, but i need them exist still, so i can't destroy them.

    so, turn invisible sprites, saves render?

    Layout 3d Layering

    Object Depth

    Object Z

    Object Z buffer

    Object Rise Scale

    problem solved, i review this one "3D layering" for the layer container of 3D Object and texture get fixed.

    thanks a lot!, remarks in your examples this issue, if you don't enable 3d layering texture will not be applied correctly, that was my mistake... truly thanks, i've weeks trying to solve this problem...

    ah i almost forget it, the texture we put in front face image, must be power of 2, i.e. 256x256, 512x512, etc. in order to be apllied correctly...

  • Hi i'm having trouble with 3D plugin.

    See when i load a model with good UV mapped on it from blender exporter, and when i load the texture to the front image, in CC editor all seems to be right, model with texture showed good, but when i run the .cap, the model appears with inverted normals, this looks something transparentish, and looks odd, i tried to invert normals in blender exporter, and try again in CC, still happen the same, model looks transparent like normals inverted.

    can you help me why this happen?

  • <img src="smileys/smiley34.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> Lately i was looking around the web, and i'd found a library called AForge.NET framework, a set of image processing dll, they seem to be useful for computer vision, neuron network, augmented reality, and more other related. Imagine for a second we can use AR for CC games, or use that library inside construct, if some one is interested visit aforgenet.com/framework take a look, important the are open source too, the idea is how integrate both Construct Classic why not C2, and their libraries, could be fine playing a game made with Construct and controlled by glyph recogniton... <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi i've a question chrisbrobs, please help me!, how do you load a 3d model without having troubleshooting with texture file or the model itself, i'd try many times to do someting like your .caps, that where appears a tank, and ever my models looking somehow sliced or not rendered of all, what i'm doing wrong, or please make an tutorial step by step about how load an .obj 3d model into CC, i thankful any help!!

  • Hi everybody, i'm new in the forums, by the moment i just want to say i'm working on the first RTS made with Construct Classic until I know. It is "Deep Space: Awakening of the War", an RTS based on battles in the open space, where the humans fight against aliens for controlling the last standing planets in order to survive. Coming soon i'll publish a video for gameplay and how much progress.
