  • Whoopsie! <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> I think I had spritefont plugin stuck back in my brain. It does ask the number of horizontal and vertical cells.

  • Does any of the arcade games work correctly?

    http://www.scirra.com/arcade

  • Here's the spritesheet I used:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/53898431/Junk/player_run_animation.png

    1. Just start new project with the option store everything in single file. 2. Add new sprite

    3. Right click in the animation frame editor and select import spritesheet

    4. Import with the following settings, Width: 209, Height: 75.

    5. And C2 should now crash.

  • Sorry, I didn't want to reproduce it because it crashed my computer. I did try to reproduce it now.

I had an old spritesheet 3135x75 that I imported as a spritesheet. When I selected the default size, the one it was offering everything worked perfectly, but when I tried to import it in 209x75 size or any other it crashed again.

Don't worry if it can't be fixed, this isn't so important for me anyways.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • I tried spritesheet import and Construct2 crashed badly.

  • Here's something commonly heard in game business. Nothing is protecting an idea, only the way you make it(invention). For example you can make Mario style clones as long as you don't use any trademarks, such as names or characters or the code.

  • Thank you :D

I'm digging construct. Are they working on more exports? Like exe and stuff? just wondering

Unfortunately I think C2 is only going to have HTML5 exporter.

  • I think Chrome is faster at handling the physics, but could be slower at other things. I wonder if the result would be opposite if you replace physics with the bullet behavior.

    IE9: 37

    Chrome: 130

  • Yes you can.

  • Thank you guys. ramones <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi, Lately i've been working with this experimental adventure game. In this game you get to control a small vessel and explore the environment around you, while trying to avoid getting eaten by a spider. Collect spider eggs and bring them back to your base. This is just an alpha stage test without any actual goal(You can't pass the level). Any feedback or suggestions are more than welcome. My plan is to have interesting puzzles to be solved.

  • I have some questions about appMobi.

At the startup of my game I'm using appMobi's commands:

    • Prevent auto-rotate
    • Set orientation to Landscape.

When I add the required splash images I load them in landscape.

If I start my game holding the device portrait it will show the loading page in portrait and when my game starts everything is set to portrait and after 2-seconds everything is in landscape. How could I make my pong game lock to the landscape properly?

How could I remove the annoying grey banner from the top of my game?

When I export my game, appMobi is asking if my game is requiring acces to different things, like internet connection... When I don't mark anything it still announces that my game requires acces to phone, internet and everything else. When I install my game that has been exported from phonegap it only requires internet connection.

People don't want to install any app that requires acces to unnecessary things. It just looks too suspicious.
