  • Found this linked all over the place on Twitter the other day. Quite cool!

  • Love the Nichola Tesla quote on the fair right column! And the illustration of the martians (or venusians) is absolutely wonderful--I could only believe they re-purposed a few fairy-tale dwarf/pixie/goblin illustrations and popped 'em on the moon.

    Great find, TiAm.

  • I'm working on a H.P. Lovecraft themed platformer, featuring gravity bending puzzles :)'m already digging it <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Can't wait to see IE usage down to less than 1%, period. Can't stand IE.

  • I stumbled across a random video game title generator a while back, bookmarked it for use later. Not a bad tool if you're looking for some random inspiration <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Found an interesting article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun concerning several general rules of game design. I found them to be good and simple guidelines and certainly things to think about in any stage of the game-development process.

You can read the story here.

    My favorites:

<font color="blue">DO</font> let me flush the toilets and turn on the taps. Scenery, in any game of any genre, shouldn?t be painted on the walls. And so many games before have put in a nice toilet flushing noise. Since all games do insist in including a toilet, as well they should, then all games should include the splishy sploshy noise of flushing it.quote]

<font color="red">DON'T</font> leave diary entries by one person scattered over miles of corridors, buildings and countries. That?s not how a diary works. A diary tends to be all in one place. Most people, when journaling their lives, don?t tend to scribble it out on the nearest scrap of paper and then leave it wherever they wrote it. Because that would be utterly insane.edited><editid>The Bespectacled One</editid><editdate>2011-12-30 04:30:51</editdate></edited>

  • helloowdy!

  • As far as blogging platforms go, I've heard good things about Wordpress. You can buy a domain for $17/year and get an easy-to-use publishing platform. Plus, if you look around for custom themes you can have a pretty nice looking website with just a bit of design sense and little to no coding experience.

    • Name: Wildefall
    • Language: English
    • Type: Freebuild/Roleplay
    • Description: Wildefall is mostly "native" Minecraft, with very few changes aside from some world protection (WorldGuard, LWC) and some minor gameplay alterations (SheepFeed, Mailbox). Wildefall also has support for quests and NPCs using the Citizens plugin. All in all, Wildefall is a freebuild/roleplay hybrid. Played solo, Wildefall is almost entirely similar to Minecraft single-player. Played with others, you've got a low-stress co-op freebuild structure. Try it!
