  • No , because as far as I know , none have

  • it's texture setter , you can find it in the plugins forum

  • Considering it's for a mech unit , i somehow seriously doubt texture changes would work.

  • I've no idea if anything has been planned or implemented , but the 3D Object seems really bare without any support for skeletal animation - any animation , for that matter.

Does anybody know if this will at all be contemplated or due to the way it's been created it is impossible for it to be done?

Just sounds like clickteam are butthurt. that's all there is to it.

  • Don't raise the Z that much then , that's the only solution I can think of. Unless you can make another layer that moves at the same speed as a certain Z layer , then maybe you could fake collision detection for that height.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Unlike blender Construct is ridiculously easy to pick up , so it'd be absolutely pointless to make DVDs / Books , especially for 30 dollars.

  • I've tried a 3d RTS myself and to be honest i don't see why collision detection is "pretty much nil". Just make a box or something below the unit & projectile and check if it hits anything.

For some reason norton , the sh*ttiest AV out there , is saying your exe is infected. lovely.

    Construct have sprite sheet support.

You can load a sprite sheet in construct.

After you create a sprite go to animation.

Right click on the frame and select import frames.

Pick the sprite sheet you want.

    Then click "open".

    A window will pop up.

You can then set the "tile width" and "tile height" to what ever size the frames will be.

Then "click cut into tiles", and click "import".

And their you have it spite sheet imported.

I wouldn't call that support. It's pretty crap. Doesn't have any support for offsets and doesn't have any preview function , so I'd have to do shitloads of trial and error to find out the proper sizes.

  • First of all, I'm 15. I know I'm still a kid, but don't compare me to a 12 year old. I didn't know it was offensive to anyone. The reason I said insane was because my ''company''is called Almost Insane Software. (The friends who persuaded me to put such bad words on the tutorial have been sacked.)

Am I the only one who is still negative about this?

Your age is not an excuse.

I'm 15 right now and come on , this is cringe worthy even to me. I'd expect to see something like that from , ironically , a 12 year old. Silly 'company' name , silly variable names in the "tutorial" ie. "Pervert!" , HORRENDOUS humor ..

The biggest gripe is that this tutorial isn't well , thoroughly thought through. In your profile you move about the "star" images to hide and show the current rank , when just as easily and in less code you could just alter the visibilty of the stars. As well as that , creating the INI at your user documents - ""C:\Users\Stewie & Adam\Documents\Almost Insane Games\AIST.ini"" instead of something such as " AppPath & "data\profiles.ini" "

As well as entirely pointless things that would confuse someone who just picked up construct , ie. adding in a ridiculous variables to the INI such as "Pervert!".

Just my badly worded and phrased two cents.

  • XSI mod tool is free and powerful. And also supports .obj

  • I hate construct's sprite sheet support with a passion - the complete lack of any.

Devised this relatively simple system so it will actually work..

so much copying and pasting.. gah!

I've also stolen an idea from Metroid Confrontation / AM2R by splitting samus into legs + torso , rather than the whole body.
