  • What's that? A (HOPEFULLY) multiplayer game where you defend yourself from waves of zombies whilst building your own defences and bases as well as purchasing and upgrading your own weaponry!

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/888382/notmuch.png" border="0" />

Weapons and custom stats work 100% ( thanks to the wonders of hashtables) , Health bar works 100% ( need to put in armor though ) , custom weapon sounds work , Reloading and ammunition handling almost works ,a few hiccups that I need to iron out..

  • Saw SciDave's screenshot plugin and instantly though people might need this:

Some bugs with the actual screenshot plugin which I'll need to iron out , such as being hardlimited to 42 screenshots :S.

  • Is there any chance you will be able to spill the source code as I've managed to make quite a useful application with this , but people are asking if it can be made to support dual screens or different quality saves. I'm not really much of a coder but I'd love to see if I could have a dabble and see what I can do with what you already have.

I've also encountered some bugs , for example when the screenshots get to roughly about 50 , some start to become completely black.

    EDIT

after more vigorous testing , it seems it starts to go black at exactly 42 frames. Might want to check some variables , as my timelapse program is completely useless if it dies after 42 screenshots.

  • Would be incredibly handy if you could set the path to save from runtime. Don't understand why it would be too hard.

  • This really doesn't belong here.

  • Reminds me of Dance EJay...

    .. good times.

  • Well , if anyone is willing to add support from the library into the 3d object for skeletal animation , please do.

  • You won't be able to do it in construct. Last time I checked carma quite literally just moved the vertices in their cars depending on the collision. You can't manipulate 3d objects at all in construct. I doubt you can do it with sprites.

  • Why are 3D effects out of the window?

  • Much , much harder work and clutters up construct. Also doesn't allow for as much precision as standard bone animation

  • Amazing. I already know how to compile for half of those formats so that makes things a metric fuckton easier.

I seriously consider whomever made the plugin to include the animation features plus the multiple textures as it WILL raise the possibilities for more games.

An in-house modelling program and animator is more than unnecessary - we don't have an in house sound programme do we?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Well the animation would be done inside the modelling program itself and so would the rigging. it would literally just be triggering animations from inside construct.

Bones should be the same for all programs newt , well , for any of the well known ones anyway.

Looking at that library , there are quite a lot of useful function in there that weren't included. Multi-layered textures ( probably diffuse , norm , bump etc. ) , multiple UV support so that must mean multiple textures , and looks like full support for skeletal animations. And support for WAY more model files than just .obj
