  • Really cool!! Cant wait to see more stuff.

  • Thanks for the responses. BenH, thanks for the link. I have been searching at Google but i have founded only very technical stuff. This seams to be more "readable" . I'm learning from Construct's fx files too.

  • I really love "retro" style. But specially those that use actual hardware to add cool effects: Geometry Wars, Rez HD, Darwinia, N+, Flow... Tron-ish style in general. Thing like this:

NES style, isometrix pixelated games... When we are in those "ages", those look are hardware limitations, but now that limitation becomes in art style, Pixel Art, like many other thindg.

The same happened with first 3d games. We got "Polygonal Art". We can see those used in films, and TV spots, when they are speaking or representing videogames.

In general: it is cool, fast, cheap, and good looking, and has many fans... very good for indie game developer people

  • Any recommended site to learn about pixel shader?

  • I would like play with custom 2d effects and small filters apps, not for games. Is it possible in construct? Things like: for each pixel do, get color, do calculations, set a color.

How can I get an RGB color from a specific pixel?

    Any advice is wellcome

  • Dropbox. It is not image/sound tool but it is great if you are working with your Construct projects , in diferent places, and for sharing files, here for example, with direct links. Really usefull.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • The best "free" pixel painting software I have used is Artweaver. Its a Photoshop/Painter mix.

    http://www.artweaver.de/index.php?en_version

    And, Inkscape, for vector drawing.

  • Thanks David, I changed it and works well

  • Camera object. For easy camera movement/zooming/rotations and screen resolution/aspect independant workflow. Something similar to 3d programs. So if you need to move or rotate the scene, you only need to move the camera without any layer scaling... Helpfull for doing cinematics too.

  • I think it is perfectly possible to get That Zelda style. Of couse some 3d could help, for doing smooth animation and more effects, but, pre-rendered/prepainted sprite can do the job, helping with construct's bones, light, normalmaps tools. I can remenber that in Diablo 2 was a pseudo3d effect options. Do you think that it is possible to get that effect?

But in general it depends more on graphics side.

I can do the graphics... any voluntary for programming it

  • This is very hard to read though. Shouldn't the the horizontal scroll bar be available? Is that a bug?

Sorry, it is resized to my monitor (1680x1050)

Another little update with multiple objects: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/472186/Construct/Forums/DPhysMultiObject.cap

The goal is to get the same effects but using the same objects
