  • Hey guys I know there was a topic somewhere about that but I couldn't find it. If someone knows where it is please be so kind and past link below.

The thing is about clicking, cracking, crackling... sounds in Chrome and Node desktop.

And just want to check if that was solved/walked around or is it something that chromium guys need to solve.

  • families are object specific. You can have sprite family, tiledBG family... but you can't mix different objects in one family

  • That's one way to do it

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34375299/Construct%202/examples/shoot0_3.PNG" border="0" />

  • I've put 50.000 sprites with 5000x5000 pixels in size at some point - it basically destroyed my browser :D

...but before that with 5000x5000 I had steady 60fps with something about 1000 sprites on screen.

  • To be honest with You I have no idea what effecs does this cap needs.

It's showing now that Radial Blur.fx is required... and that's the third error I got (previous two effects I had on my hdd)

Could you zip them all? I would not want to bother you again in few minuts to send me another one :)

  • Murad96 do you even know what you are saying?

Spriter was made to do animations. (assuming You already have images to animate)

Blender, Photoshop, Paint.net... are application where you create your content. 3d models or 2d image.

In Photoshop you can make your images and animate them in 2d.

Blender is made for 3d modeling, animation and rendering - you renderwhat you made to 2d images.

I see you have no idea what you are doing or trying to do. and you have no knowledge about that subject.

So first of all, google yourself some tutorial about basics of animation

then study it, try to do simple stuff (like bouncing ball) and after that try to animate your character - if you learn how to make it.

If you never animate anything in your life, you won't be able to animate after watching couple of tutorials. It takes months and years of heavy practicing to understand how it works and how to do it properly.

So you have 3 choices here:

    • give it a rest and make your game without animations
    • start learning
    • pay someone to do all animations you want

and yeah Spriter is 100% fully capable for making walk cycles, like any other soft... even notepad - if you now how to.

  • File

    Event one is irrelevant.

and sorry, I made *.capx and was sure I've added it :/

  • Arsonide Have you still got some of my effects for CC? I've lost all of them recently and I cant even open my old projects in CC anymore :D

  • Probably someone mentioned You in his/her post using zsangerous but some time later his/her post was deleted.

  • Link to .capx file (required!):

new project with pathfinding on sprite

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. create sprite with pathfinding behavior (default setup)

    2. make it follow on path to mouse position

    Observed result:

    1. When you click mouse anywhere on game screen to find path for the first time, sprite will folow the path correctly.

After that, on every click sprite will shake for a fraction of a sceond and then move. I't very clear when you turn off Rotate object.

    2. Rotate object set to OFF. Again it works fine with first click.

On each next click in front of a sprite (blue square) sprite will shake too but will move instantly.

But when you click somewhere behind the sprite (on the red square) it will shake, wait short period of a time and then move.

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/34375299/Construct%202/bugs%20and%20fixes/path.PNG" border="0" />

The wait time is equal to Rotate Speed. So it's like sprite at first is rotating and then when rotation is finished it will move. But this rotation is false. Sprite angle is at 0 all the time but it will wait Rotate Speed time before movement.

    Expected result:

Move sprite smoothly regardless of any settings.

Move sprite instantly when Rotate Object is set to off

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: yes

    Firefox: no

    Internet Explorer: no

    Operating system & service pack:

    Win 7 64 Sp1

    Construct 2 version:

        r120

  • Unfortunately not.

There was a nice feature in CC where you could select event press ctrl+c

and ctrl+v and it will paste your event in plain text format.

Maybe one day it will come to C2 :)

  • Try Construct 3
