Saw this on Destructoid today and thought I'd pass it along.

It's a flash game (Newgrounds) of Super Mario Bros. where you have a choice of playing as either Mario, Simon Belmont, Bill R. (Contra), Samus, Link or Megaman.

Each character is pretty faithful to their respective game's style of movement and attack, although with a few obvious changes to make it possible for them to get past some of SMB's jumps.

Big surprise for me... I'm a lot better as Megaman than any other character.

(I did the regular "warp from 1-2 to 4, and then from 4-2 to 8"... I'm guessing that every level is represented?)

Actually... never mind. It really isn't that important for my project (unless someone knows of a specific instance that it might be useful).

Is this already possible, and if not, could it be added sometime in the future?

I'm going to try to figure out a workaround in the meantime but there could be some situations where being able to switch from elipse to bounding box etc. at runtime could be useful.

In a way it *sort of* reminds me of "Karoshi" and it's habit of tricking you.

The disappearing/reappearing platform section really needs the sound effect from Megaman.

How about trying to host your demo on something like https://www.dropbox.com/?

If you do that then nobody has to enter a code before downloading. Everyone will be able to play your demo.

(P.S. Even though Ivan Drago was pretty awesome, Clubber Lang still has more *baddass points* )

You know, this effect kind of reminds me of when Dave enters the monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey...

Forward movement makes a kind of interesting effect, but when I move left or right while holding down the "up arrow" and then release the keys I get a strange kind of teleporting effect. It's kind of jarring...

Is this maybe a video problem on my end? I'm using a Radeon 9800 Pro with the latest drivers.
