  • I think the best solusion would be something short like "your version of DirectX is too old, klick OK to download the newest version" And a button named "More information" with all the tecnical things. I've seen this a few times, and it's really helpful. People get scared of that kind of complicated language (i have to admit, at first i didn't even finnish the first post in this thread ). Te best thing to do is to hide it behind a drop-down or something.

  • I found a flash game which makes enemies jump on platforms to arrive to the player.

    You could contact the creator.

Hmm.. i played it until i died (like five or six levels) but i didn't find anything where they actually had to figure out the best way. To make an enemy jump over an obstackle is not hard, or to make them jump if you are on the platform above them.

Did you find anything in the game where they acomplished something like this ? <img src="http://img501.imageshack.us/img501/4953/ajnfkigwu1.png">

  • When i think of it.. it's not that big of a deal, since very few people use screensavers, and they don't really have a purpose anymore. I don't think create>new>screensaver should be added, since it's such a small part of construct.

  • I'm intrested!

  • Awsome! You're the man Deye!

  • I was translating an old platform engine from mmf to construct when it happened. I'll continue working on my ideas in mmf in the meantime.. I think i'm about to finnish the hunt for the ultimate platform movement AI Btw. What does the specific values in the platform movement means (like jump strenght, gravity, etc? if i know thy are accurate, i might be able to use the in-built platform movement instead. I'm using my own cuz i know exactly how it's working.

  • Is it possible to change the name of the green one to "Construct Classic" or something like that? Would be nice as a memory of the old forum

Also, clicking the big logo in the top doesn't link to the board index in the Czar-orange.

  • Oooh! Wher's that first picture from?

  • Try Construct 3

  • From time to time i secured the work by saving it in another place. I had like 50 backups. All of them where ruined at the same time.

  • Nice! I've allways wanted a car like that, but i've never had the money...

  • I've found a critical error. I worked about four hours on a platformer engine, and i saved in two different places to be soure i didn't loose it. When i closed construct and tried to open one of the saves in any of the places it gave me the error message "You require to open this file". I think it's amazing how construct manages to crash all backups of your program, no matter how well you've hidden them. It was nothing wrong with the code either, since construct didn't crash, i closed it myself. I'll send the .cap to you ashley along with information about another problem i've run into.

  • Guess it would be possible....
