  • This situation actually does look like and is probably a bug. Should this be fixed? I can't post in the post bugs because I don't have a cap.x file on me.

Sometimes when I use the same event sheet for the next layouts, some of the events do not work for the next layouts.

-My solution is to delete the next layouts and make the next layouts again, and it works.

For example, if I were to make a space invaders game, and the random enemies are firing down, they would do that on the first level. But they would do no firing on level 2. I am using the same event sheet as level 1. I had to delete "Level 2", and recreate "Level 2" again, and that somehow actually solved the problem. They were firing again, just like they were supposed to in the first place.

Is this clear? The same thing has happened in other games, generally, some events don't work on other layouts and I have to delete and remake them for them to work again.

  • Simply it's just that if I were to use the same event sheet for a different layout, some of the events don't work.

  • I have 3 layouts in my game, and 2 layouts do not have an event sheet.

How do I make it so I need only 1 event sheet for all my layouts?

Or quickly make an event sheet for a layout that doesn't have one?

  • thanks. that's exactly what i was looking for too.

  • Is there some sprite sheet kits around?

    Just to get started

Example: a character with simple motions, and objects such as grounds, backgrounds, ladders, coins, etc.

  • This answers my question. I think I just exported it from Construct 2. I didn't actually publish the game.

Now all I'd like to do is publish my game to the app store. Or just share with friends on face book. And how would I do that?

  • I might have exported it to the app store, but I just don't want to double export the same project.

    I only have Windows 7.

Is there a way I can export it with the node web kit to sell or to share with friends?

Or to do either on face book?

    Thanks.

  • How do I export and sell in on a node web kit?

Or to just share one with friends on face book?

I've previously posted about exporting but I accidentally lost my post.

  • Great. Thanks. It worked. Now since I published it on the app store, where would I be able to check up on it? And to show others my game too and where they can buy it?

  • When I go to export my game for Windows 8, it says to make sure my game has a description.

How do I add a description?

Is there anything I need to know before distributing it?

And when distributing it to the Amazon Ape store, would I be able to fix my game if I needed to fix it or wanted to add on to it?

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Have you ever had this problem where you 'include event sheet', and for some reason it's not working properly?

But it worked for other layouts but not this one? For instance, a ladder I used messed things up like gravity on event sheet 3, but worked just fine on event sheet 2. All I add to the event sheets are music soundtracks.

-Now I can't send files because they are too back.

Main question: Are the event sheets arranged in order that they will effect the other layouts and event sheets?

  • Is it possible to make and sell sprite sheets on here?

That's if I came up with some really good sprites.

And if so, what would be a reasonable deal?

  • I know how the program works and how to make an animation.

This is more of an artistic question, not a technical question.

I can animate a figure running, but it didn't look that great. Looked out of proportion from the side view.

  • Same sprite but walking forward, backward, side, jumping, striking, etc. The same sprite but with the actions.

    How do I do this?

  • If I were to make a sprite of a character for the side, front and back, it would be hard to make him consistent.

It would be easier to just have a 3D model, and make separate animations for all side views.

-It would be good if there was a 3D character animation program plugin for this.

"Add Jump", "Add Walk", "Add Hit", etc.

-Layers too if we wanted to upgrade characters like adding a cap or something.

Currently I use 'game maker' to make the 2D sprites, and Cinema 4D to make the 3D animated sprites.
