  • If I were to export my game to android, what resolution should it be?

Every different device has a resolution to make the game for. Example, I-Phones, Blackberries, etc. Do I need a separate resolution for each device?

-Do I actually need an android to test android games?

Do some of these devices only use touch screen and no keys?

When using a node web kit for a PC or Mac, the screen size is adjustable. I usually do 800 by 600, which is meant for that.

  • This has helped me distribute the game.

    Thanks for the links.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Thanks. That's helped me figured it out. Now it's working.

  • I'm supposed to have the cocoonjs plugin for this training session I'm going through for Construct 2. I've gone to the GitHub site, done everything it says under "manual installation", and I don't yet see the cocoonjs plugin where it's supposed to be, when I'm trying to add an object. What should I do?

  • Once it's all done. How do I sell my game?

Do I need a website? Do I need the business license? And how would I get it noticed?

  • I've just recieved an email from Taito Corporation themselves, and they said they are unable to grant me the license for making a Space Invaders game. That probably means I may have to make and sell another game.

  • I tried contacting Taito but the "postmaster" returned my failed message, couldn't get it delivered. There must be someone I could contact about this to get some kind of deal going.

  • I know how to and would like to make a Space Invaders game. And I know some other people have done it before without lawsuit issues.

There's lots of movies and games out there about vampires, zombies and werewolves made by several people. Why not "Space Invaders"?

Who owns the rights and how do I get their permission? And what's their deal? How and where would I contact them?

I know there's got to be some 'royalties' deal I'd need to make.

  • Is this better?

I'd like to make the characters and background looking good and interesting so it'll be playable.

  • They are but are not really supposed to be visible. They are just solid ground and platform. Can see the other characters better in the last one.

Here's a better example of what it looks like.

  • Yes, if this is the right place for it.

  • This is a platform game that I'm working on now. The characters, the place, the setting. Interested to know what it all looks like, what it would remind you of.

Oops, the grey and green blank bars are not supposed to be visible, they are not visible in the actual game that I'm working on. Also, the yellowish bars are invisible boarder lines for the enemies to reverse direction. And as for the orange background, in the game it's replaced with a cavern background.

  • I know how to make a tile set for the backgrounds and the game itself.

I just want to know how to make a good looking tile set.

Good example, is if I wanted to give it a metallic, or a mechanical, or a wooden look, or an electronic look, or a biological look.

I thought about using someone Else's tile set, but it's better if I make my own. Possibly help from a video or something? Thanks.

  • When I have exported my game and made it into a node web kit, and put it onto my new computer that I just bought, it seems to be missing the effects such as the glow and tint. Also, a few of the graphics, have no color, they are simple black silhouettes. It works just fine on my original computer.

What must be done about this? Do I go to the dxwebsetup?

  • It might be difficult, as I do use heavy graphics and am not sure how to post a sample of CAPX.
