  • Joannesalfa Thank you :)

anthony Thank you :) The last few days Iv been sketching out some new level designs, traps, and levers that do different things. Also I have been thinking about maybe adding some cut scenes as I add more levels.

  • Hey, I won 4th place :D

  • Thank you Wishy :) Yes, I did put quite a few traps in the game kind of like all the mouse traps that corrupt government's put in there databases. You know the ones you try to avoid when your trying to backdoor them :D lol

Yes, that mask ;) God Save the Legion!

  • anthony That's cool 466 is real good time :) That means you didn't die to much :D

    zsangerous Thank you :)

Actually I bought Construct 2 last July. I just removed my license from my computer for this contest.

If I am lucky enough to win a Standard license I plan on giving it to someone that entered the contest, and didn't win anything. I just entered for the fun :D

  • Thank you murilokleine :)

Hey, I was just checking out your portfolio your a good artist. I especially like your 3d work :)

  • anthony It's ok I appreciate constructive criticism it helps me improve my game design :)

Joannesalfa Ya, your right I just have to work harder at marketing :) There is so much to do when your a one man team. I cant possibly imagine what poor Ashly, and Tom must go through on a daily basis trying to develop this incredible software, and run this company being only a two man team.

I'm going to go, and start playing all the games entered now. I will give you some feedback on your game after I'm finished.

Thank you, and good luck to you too Joannesalfa :)

  • Thank you anthony :) You should try to finish the game. I tried to give it a ending that gives you a rewarding feeling of satisfaction. I haven't been getting much feedback but one of the other two people at HBGames that commented on it liked the ending :) I did put a pause feature in it if you get stressed playing it just hit P, and do something else for a while then try again.

I don't know maybe I made it to hard. It's not easy to know when you were the one that built it, and the only one that tested it.

I really got to try harder to make some friends or nobody will play my games.

O'ya I played your game, and left a comment. I really loved playing your game it was a lot of fun :D

<font color="orange">The creation of Dungeon.Sec (Dungeon Security) was inspired by a few things. First Iv always been a bit of a human rights Hacktivist (cough) I mean Activist :) Second I really, really love the movie V for Vendetta if you have never seen it you really should it tells such a powerful story. And third I really wanted to make some kind of a tribute to Anonymous for all the good that they have done in this world, and continue to do. With 100 events I just hope it's a start.

You will play as an Anonymous member of an elite security team known as Dungeon.Sec. Your objective will be to hack your way through the evil, and corrupt governments underground dungeon security system in the shortest time possible all while trying to stay alive.

This game is a dungeon, puzzle, platformer containing 8 levels of of non stop edge of your seat intense fun! Each level is timed, if you die the timer for that level will reset but that time you played until death will be added on to your total game time so don't die :D</font>

<font color="orange">For me entering this contest was all just for fun :) And a lot of fun I have had :D I also learned a lot, this was my first platformer. I wouldn't have ever thought it possible to make an 8 level game in less than 3 weeks using only 99 events before I entered this contest.</font>

  • Thank you sqiddster for your suggestion but that didn't work for adding each level's time into one total game time. But you did help me figure out a solution, and also gave me another Idea for my game :D

First the solution in case anyone else is ever searching for how to add up all the levels times into one. What I did was changes my Score variable form text to number. Then I set up my game to add 1 to my Score variable every one second. Just like I did for my timer to my TimeLevel variable. Except with my Score timer I didn't set it to reset to 0 each level. It's basically two timers keeping the same time except one only keeps each levels time while the other keeps total game time. I hope this makes sense anyway it works :D

And the new Idea you gave me was to maybe use your 'score_so_far' variable to add each levels time to a level select page. So that once a level is completed, and unlocked a player can see his or her level time. Then select that level, and try to get a better time. Of course this idea will need some server side scripting, and a database. I probably wont try this until after the contest.

    But thanks again sqiddster :D

  • Hello mitchjohnson52

You could just right click on each event sheet that you need to add these basic functions to, and select (include event sheet) then when the new window opens just select the event sheet that has all your basic functions on it.

  • Hello, I usually don't ask for help but after 72 hours of searching trying, and failing I have become very stressed. So I am asking for some help please.

Ok, I have been making a game for the HBGames.org's BUILD & WIN Construct 2 Contest. So far my game has 5 levels, and what I am trying to do is add a simple timer to act as a scoring system.

After many failed attempts at this I finally got close when I found this thread Restting Local Variables were Kyatric posted this commented capx.

So what I used from it was I made 2 global variables one named Score this one is a text variable, and the other named TimeLevel this one is a number variable.

The timer works great, and resets to 0 after each level then adds the levels time to the Score variable. But at the end of the game when you are taken to a score page instead of adding up all the level scores it just lists them in order next to each other like 34, 56, 72, ect.

So my question is what am I doing wrong? :( How do I make each level score add onto each other to get a total game time to display on the score page?

Any Help would be greatly appreciated like I said earlier I don't like to ask for help but I really need it.

  • Just follow this guide:

    Upload your game to Dropbox

But instead of exporting your game just save it as a .capx.

  • Are you looking for someone to slice, and code your website design?

PSD to Wordpress: Professionals usually charge around $99 for the home page, and $45 per inner page.

PSD to Joomla, and Drupal are usually a little more expensive.

PSD to Magento: Usually starts at $300, and up but that is because there is more coding involved when you want a store CMS.

These are all average prices that professionals charge. You would have to be more specific on how many pages, if you want it coded into a CMS or not, and if you wanted your forums to match, etc.

cesisco is right there are a lot customizable templates for Wordpress, and you can easily build your own Wordpress theme. Just visit there site WordPress, and check it out.
