  • I am interested, and definitely want to see CocoonJs support on Ouya.

    Seconded.

  • Hamstar?k is my favourite to date. Video:

OOf...That made me dizzy just watching it....cool hamster wheel effect though.

  • Thanks UnknownPwny sheepy Gammabeam Waywardchicken. It is very gratifying to know that other people liked our work.

Waywardchicken we realized this mistake also. In the current version, the tutorials still appear before each stage, but on a side layout, and can be viewed via the main menu.

The game is still being developed. And we are very eager to show the new version. But the game still needs some tweaking so that everyone can play without bugs. While we do not post a link to the test, here are some in game screenshots of the tutorials and the early stages.

Looks fantastic! Excited to see how this moves along.

  • I have to disagree. Without a free version I would of never even considered the software. Having worked in the industry professionally for the better part of a decade being able to quickly evaluate a software without licensing hassles is a huge factor for me. The free version allows for this to happen.

Running a project on an indie budget means that it is essential for your software to be powerful and very cheap, and the licensing options available for C2 definitely allow for this. I can prototype for free, I can then buy a personal license, and then if my project does well enough I can PAY THE DIFFERENCE and upgrade to the Business license. In my opinion it's an ideal step based licensing plan for any serious indie developer. Would I pay more? Yes, yes I would...but not without having seen what C2 is capable of for free.

Having a free version also allows the tool set to be used in education environments easily which will then lead to a wider use of the software on a professional level at later dates when those students enter into the studio environment.

  • You could always buy a prepaid visa card and use that on Steam.

  • Great animations, can't wait to see it once you pick it back up.

  • I can't animate, but maybe give Spriter a shot?

  • Awesome rundown, thanks!

  • Hi,

    Thanks for the suggestions!

    I'll look on Google Images

for something that resembles your suggestions,

but after I collapse and sleep :)

    (been awake 24 hours now)

Are the two musics ok for this game?

How about the speed at which the player ship moves?

Thanks for your help, when Beta 1 is ready

I'll release the project as Open-Source GPL2 on the forum

for others to learn how to use "Construct 2"...

    JeZ+Lee

Music is fine in my opinion.

I would say if you could make it a little quicker to change directions, specifically when trying to go completely in the opposite direction that would be a welcome change.

  • Interesting idea, reminds me a little of "The Cave" by Double Fine. Looking forward to see the new thread so I can follow it.

  • Nice, I think it would be cool effect if instead of whole background you would rotate just that transparent nebula thingy :)

Seconded, a spiraling galaxy animation in the background would be a nice touch.

  • Well the movement definitely is that of the classic asteroids game. Looking forward to being able to blast some space rocks. :)

  • Wow! Great list of resources. Thanks for the link.

  • I asked Ludei on twitter if they had any plans to add RevMob, they said it's not in their plans at the moment, which is a shame.

    Darn, hopefully that changes.

  • Interesting game, was fun. I was a little unclear about how to start the game right away but once I got going I had a good time. Would love to see it updated with some better artwork, but the functionality is really solid. Great job.
