  • i'm a Hawks cheerleader, sweeping the ladies off their feet on a regular basis as well performing gymnastics for the routines.

i'm a Costco employee, waking up at 3am to start my 4am shift to make the warehouse look good before it opens.

i'm multilingual, currently learning to speak Italian with the other romance languages right after i finish teaching myself and i also know enough Swedish, Japanese, Mandarin, and Russian to travel around.

i'm slowly learning to play the electric guitar in between everything else i do.

i also installed Xubuntu on my lower end machine recently so i'll be toying around with Linux for a while.

  • well ... my idea was for adding alterable values to families (possibly from the families editor window) such that you can manage the all the alterable values for the family in one place and not have to look at different sprites trying to make sure they all have the same alterable values

so say you had a various families:

the "enemy" family would all have the alterable value(s):

    _ available health

    _ max health

the "shooter" or "gunner" family would all have the alterable value(s):

    _ current ammo

    _ max current ammo

    _ ammo clips

    _ max ammo clips

the "psychic" family would all have the alterable value(s):

    _ available mana

    _ max mana

and if we could add a sprite to a family by simply dragging sprite icons and dropping them on top of a family in the families window that would be even better!

  • dude, morrowind is totally awesome! gret review btw, i agree with it very much! i don't know how this game will fare on your new card but if you're enjoying the free roaming aspect of morrowing then you'll enjoy "s.t.a.l.k.e.r. shadow of chernobyl" it has a free roaming environment as well but it's a great fps for that reason and many other reasons!

  • YYYEEESSS!!! i requested the same thing for family alterable values before and i would STILL like to see that implemented!!! =P

  • turdhats closing the layout/events editor should close the project?

unless there are other things in the project that could be done without requiring the editor open, in which case i'm curious as to what those things would be.

  • > I really dont know why USA do not use Metric System and Celcius. Only USA, Liberia, Myanmar dont use Metrics.

    >

Decades ago our scientists determined that using the Metric System can lead to impotence and even penile shrinkage, so it was with a heavy heart that we created a new system of measurement.

in my rebuttal i would like to point out that even after penile shrinkage, measuring with the metric measurement system will yield a greater, more impressive number compared to the imperial measurement system

  • piii

    932MHz

    256MB ram

    i get around:

    180~200fps at the start

    60~70fps while it's settling

    80-100fps after it's finished settling

30~50fps after vigorously moving the window around*

*after moving the window around, it is possible to cause all movable objects to either further fill in the open spaces or bounce upwards before ultimately falling back down

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • try (int)EditBox1 * (int)EditBox2

  • yes, screenshots may be enough to do the job for the time being but construct, being open source, will potentially have interface customizations that will go deep to the point that it would require a lot of screenshots to show off interface customizations.

plus importing a file for customized hotkeys is useful for transferring settings from station to station and easier than manually changing them, especially if a lot of changes have been made!

  • i don't know if construct can already do this but i just thought that it would be interesting to be able to experience the way another construct user experiences using construct. it would also help to figure out which custom key settings and interface layouts are more efficient to work with and this has the potential for figuring out the best way to introduce a new user to construct, were they to tackle this program head first!

  • add "-5"?

  • i WANT to say that construct is designed such that people who do not have a strong skill in programming can develop games such as artists who focus on the art aspect of game development and therefore construct should have a more fleshed out animation editor but then i thought about it some more and realized that if they are focused on art, they must already have familiarity with their own program of choice for art

    oh the irony lol

  • i have yet to touch the wiki so i definitely didn't mess around with it but i would like access in the event that i find enough interest and motivation to add to it

  • here is what i did:

    new direct x game

    insert canvas object

    make the canvas object solid

    insert sprite

give the sprite the platform behavior

the canvas object is definitely there and the sprite can move around on the slopes but the canvas can't be seen!

land ahoy! where? i can't see it! we're on it ...

  • Actually, family expressions are fully implemented. However, they do not appear in the object panel in the parameters dialog, which is a legitimate complaint. In the mean time, the expression 'Family.X' will work as you'd expect (for a Family of Sprites). You just have to type it yourself!

    yeeesss!!!
