  • The best way I can see this working is to have a Link To .cap feature,

that a connects to to the cap that you pick,

and when you copy and paste events from one cap to another cap

all the objects, variables, behaviors, and effects, and etc. that are in the copied event can be brought over with no problems.

  • UberLou thank you, It plays great on the newer version of construct just had to fix all of the controls. just playing the demo It has it dose you would want in a 2D fighter like street fight so I am looking forward to to going through the event sheets editor.

Thanks! I'm still working on my current game current game, but possibly afterwards.

Yea, great game there. I am looking forward to playing that one too.

  • Okay you guys don't get it, here's how you use Never

Let's say you 're making a sprite and you have a lot of really cool animations for it. But then you make a really crummy animation. You don't want to ever show this animation because if anyone saw it you would be very embarrassed! You could use Never for that!

    <img src="http://i46.tinypic.com/97kubs.png">

    See? VERY EASY

Now let's say your cat is standing in front of your monitor and you can't see the whole screen. I'm sure we've all had this situation happen from time to time! It can be very difficult to play games! You can't move your cat because it will bite you

You can use never to make sure your player doesn't go behind the cat, then you can play your game...

Again a simple and elegant solution that would not be possible without Never!

  • if anyone is interested i'll dig up the .cap file, though I'm not sure how compatible it is with newer versions of Construct.

I would really love to see you finish this project.

Dig it up. Please, find the cap.

I still got 98.9 and from the looks of you combo system it will work.

It looks like your doing what Lost my Keys pointed out to me in the post earlier and use the animation to chain a combo.

  • [quote:3c3t734f]Anyway, since Construct is a game maker, and not an app-making-app-maker, I really doubt your request will be filled.

This feature would be great to have.

Even though it is not an app-making-app-maker I would love to have this feature really.

  • Davo, can you copy paste events between .caps?

For me it only works if I was to open two cap that have the same data and paste between them.

My guess of why it work is because there is no missing data be tween them.

So it is able to paste events in the in the second cap.

  • although you were probable joking ME9876543 with those post you made.

There is on need to act that was on the forum.

    Madster dose have a point.

  • use the for each condition.

add the "create object" action to the "sprite value greater then 100" condition

and take out the trigger once condition because it is not needed at all. And that will work.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • here is a little 2.5D platforming test number 2.

I get front orders to work. So when the player is in front of the platform A and behind platform B and bellow them.

when here jumps up he will stay in front platform A and behind platform B.

    Hope you guys like it.

  • This one look so good.

  • Let me clear this up a bit. What I'm looking for is something similar to the Ghost shooter tut, but with the player always facing north. The camera would be behind the player just a bit, and all the objects, and backgrounds would rotate into view as the players angle changes.

That is still a third person shooter for some reason.

Unless the in that view you are actually a second person shooting over the first person.

Now that's a second person shooter.

  • Most other forums I know either let the flamewars rage (even with admins joining in!) or simply shrug and delete anything borderline, and I don't like those extremes.

I think there should be a

    Flame Wars!

thread where people fight it out.

It could be a Pay For View type of thing.

    Come on!

    I know your out there!

    Anybody!

    Fine, be that way.

Also I don't buy for a second any of this "he started it" rubbish. If someone is rude to you in real life, the best way to deal with it is keep cool. Think what a third party impartial observer sees - if they see two people shouting each other down, they don't care for either person. If one is getting angry and rude and the other is politely and cooly trying to sort things out, you're obviously going to side with the calm one. It works in real life, and it works on a forum too. I don't see why so many people don't get that and still try to fight fire with fire.

    Only if they know.

  • clusterfuck

    on the new guy.

    That's a funny word.

anyway I don't think the forum getting mean to newcomers

It is just that when they post with out any research or

post in the discussion part of the forum and argue badly with people

who don't see things your way.

    People gets .

(I mean really, that new guy he seriously brought anger and frustration out of them)

That why when I see thing getting heated up I through in a joke or two

    to cool thing a bit.

Use these guys to keep thing form sounding to harsh.

  • here is a little 2.5D platforming test.

I did not get to front orders yet.

Still hope you guys like it.
