  • While using the R127 update, my game was stable. After updating and recompiling for CocoonJS, I now have this console error. As well as a flashing screen. Its basically stuck between Level 1 and Level Select layout.

JavaScript Exception (Line: 31802 File: 1553718280 Tag: 'requestAnimationFrame'): Type Error: Result of expression 'this.body.SetAwake' [undefined] is not a function.

I don't think this belongs in the Bugs Section of the forum, just yet.

  • You will also have to purchase a license for using Construct2. Or you wont get those exporters.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Having you thought of releasing an iPad specific version, a PC specific version and so on? You don't need just one file.

  • Hey everyone,

I am making a brick and ball type game. In some areas where two solids are close to each, the ball will bounce between the two, but, on the odd occasion the ball will snap to the other side of one of the solids. I have noticed this is more common during an FPS drop.

Has this happened to you guys while playing around with the Physics and Bullet behaviors?

    Is anyone having similar issues?

    Thanks

  • Hmm, complicated math there but I love it! Thank you so much.

  • Since you're displaying text every tick, try using dt instead of a solid number.

You'll probably want 2 variables: Score and Score_Display. Then when Score is greater than Score_Display, have it add 100*dt to Score_Display.

This way, the text shows the Score_Display variable every tick, and every tick it constantly adds to the variable until the score is the same.

So far this is what I have come up with. But its not giving the desired effect. Is this what you mean?

  • Hey everyone!

I am trying to make an animated counter. One you would normally see at the end of a video game. I started with this code in the shot below but going up by one is far to slow. If I go up by ten or a hundred I lose the full effect of the numbers flashing. Can anyone help or seen this done? Thanks!

  • It wont close Firefox/Chrome etc. At least it shouldn't. It will exit .exe files, and mobile apps.

  • Hey!

I noticed the other day, that the only way I could upload my game to the Scirra Arcade was by updating to the latest version of Construct2. That's all fine and dandy but I saw that the latest version was a beta build. Beta builds are something I prefer to stay away from while working.

After I updated to the latest beta I started having problems, which should be expected. I did lose out on last night for mobile testing but hey that's over and done with.

Anyways, what I would like to see implemented is a check for the Latest Beta build or Latest Stable build, when uploading our games. Is this at all possible?

    Thanks!

  • This is a good idea, but, I think the extra VRAM, that is needed, would ruin game play.

    [EDIT]

Back to your question at hand. You would have to take every sprite you plan on using shadows with and open then in Photoshop. Then make all the gradients in exact same size/shape as your sprite in an above layer. After you load all those new sprites in you would then simply use one set of sprites if NightTime is true or the other set if DayTime is true.

    [EDIT 2]

I was thinking there might be a way to use the Additive/Screen effects on a layer with a gradient but this wouldn't line up properly with each sprite. Who knows! >.<

  • R-128 didn't fix this issue.

  • Having the same issue here. Windows 7 64bit. I turned off Minify and it gets further now, lol. Still lots of errors though.

  • Ugh, brain fart? Thanks.

  • This is what is causing the problem. As to why? No idea. You may need to set sort of speed variable. Not too sure though.
