  Nope, only works on object that are left behind. Like if you want a button to remember if it has been pressed when coming back to it from another layout. Thanks anyway :)

  Been a while since I tried making a physics based game and now I have hit a problem. When the player ( a guy in a eva space suit) exits one layout and is moved to the next all physics movement is gone even when I temp save velocity.x and velocity.y and then restore those values to the physics behavior at the start of the next layout. I have the player set to global.

  Anyone know how to do this? :)

  If it is an intro sequnce to be shown inside the game I don't see a need for a captured video that will result in massive mb increase. Just make the sequence on its own layout and event sheet and save lots of app size. Then if you want to capture that scene for youtube etc you can do that with softwares like Streamlabs OBS.

  Hopefully it will be available in a few hours, first version got rejected by google since these days it is not allowed to have a button that opens the play store to show your other games. Still waiting for the update to be approved.

  After having updated Construct 3 to version 157 stable, debug apk's are denied installation on android devices with a "unknown publisher" msg. Second time I try it just says "installation failed". There was no such problem in 156.2 and I haven't made any changes other than pure game logic in the game.

  Are Scirra aware of the problem or do I have to make a bug report?

  I did some more googling and it seems like the thing called "Google Play Protect" was involved.

  Found this that helped me get around it: support.mobile-tracker-free.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005346953-How-to-disable-Google-Play-Protect-

  However installing debug apk's made with C3 versions prior to 157 stable works without disabling Google Play Protect.

  Since the last two updates (156 and 156.2) Construct 3 has become very slow and sluggish. Enitire layouts disappear from screen and then comes back a few seconds later, saving takes a very very long time too.

  Anyone else experiencing these things?

  Another useful technique is that the Chrome developer tools includes a device emulation tool. This allows you to test touch interaction, different screen sizes and network throttling. Of course it's not a true replacement for testing on an actual device, but it's quick to access.

  Hey!

  So this might be old news but I just thought of this and it worked for me so I thought I'd share it here.

  I only have one android device available right now (samsung s10) but wanted to see how the game scales on other devices with different screen sizes, so I installed android studio and made some different virtual devices. Then when a virtual device is running just drag a debug apk onto it and it will install, next just start the game and see what it looks like.

  Maybe this helps someone else who also only has one android device.
