  • It seriously doesnt matter, and it actually could make your website more "local" to lots of people. Just try to avoid a domain where the .com is already extremely famous, your website would never show up in search.

    And .in could make great names ^^ Streetfight.in, Frigg.in, Surf.in ...

  • Overall they are quite nice, I like the general outlook of the models, quite bulky yet dynamic and aggressive.

Regarding the textures, I think they could use some more details, like a light aluminium brushing on the surfaces, or some dirt near the feet, dry splashes near the tubes endings, scratches, things that would show that these are battered guns that seen few battles and tests before being dropped in the field.

  • Just curious, what are the project manager/producer tasks in the team?

  • I think he meant increasing the size of the selected dots, else what about just a circle with the blue of your buttons/UI?

But that's just nitpicking, I would totally buy your game already ^^

  • Try Construct 3

  • Kraudi I love the flat minimal art of your game, but why the gradient to select stuff? Maybe a nice flat circle around the dot instead?

  • Maybe your setting could be modified to bring more to the situation. You mention 2 houses in a village, but where and when is this village located? What kind of village is it?

You could give more "pressure" and drama to the whole thing, without text, just by creating the background to the concept. It could be two apartments doors over the same coridor in a lonely society, could be two huts on a deserted island, could be 2 shelters in a destroyed environment, 2 igloos in the arctic, could be 2 houses losts in many many other houses...

  • Not a service, but supposingly data recovery softwares will swipe your drive cluster by cluster.

I did it once about 7 years ago (so the software used at that time would be irrelevant, something like magic backup or so)... I mounted my hard drive in an external casing and let it swipe all clusters. I thinkn it took about 90 hours non stop, and I receovered about 60% of my content. It was in a total mess, but I got the important ones back!

You should be able to find free recovery softwares out there, not sure if any recovery company can do more than that.

In any case, good luck, all is not lost!

  • France uses ZQSD, it usually is good enough to allow key rebinding.

  • If you inspire from one source, it's plagiarism.

If you inspire from 10 sources, it's research.

Thanks, I also look forward seeing all these in motion ^^

  • Usually people go to Illustrator because it's easier in terms of workflow (reuse elements, manipulation and such), but all pixel artists are most likely to use Photoshop instead.

If you mean style, you may check on Braid, a platformer with a nice paint-ish feel and interesting time mechanics.

  • Thanks, I would love to see that too ^^

I will try spriter soon, and I'm pretty sure Brashmonkey would have the exporter to c2 working fine by the time I get something acceptable to integrate...

  • Have a devblog with very regular updates. Be reactive, always nice, enthusiastic and professional.

I was reading this article this morning, some interesting insights: polygon.com/features/2013/5/29/4362838/the-birth-and-re-birth-of-klei (it's quite long, but nice to read)

  • No idea how I missed this topic so far, but that, sir, looks awesome!
