  • And if you use a tablet, don't get a Wacom bamboo, unless you're willing to tape it to save the pen nibs...

    Pyteo, what about Yokai? You still develop it aside?

  • First one got the 4 ponies in the middle, and 4 zeros, but the 2 zeros on the right are not in the corner, kinda floating

    Second one seems to work.

  • Awesome work, I definitely need something like that... any pages to preview?

  • Yes, i have access. I think we may want to have google docs in parallel for data sheets and documents, they can be edited in real time by everyone and can be good if we all use a different color. I'm thinking lists of crafts for example.

    Else, I got a word with Quazi about the engine and graphics, the idea would be to use the piggy as universal scale (one character = 2 piggies) and try to insert our arts in a screenshots for perspective check.

    Stylewise, Quazi told me my avatar style would work, and Sol mentioned bitejacker as reference (which happen to be a zombie game as well: bitejacker.secretbase.com.sg/), so i believe we start to get the idea.

    I did one that was too detailed, you'll see it in the dropbox.

  • I'm at work, so I cannot "speak" so to say, but chat is fine. My ID is svedash . See you there!

  • It's great! I really like the demo!

    Though I would like to have the choice not to invert the controls when inverting the gravity to the ceiling... to keep them environment related, not player related.

    I got stuck in the room with the flipping switches, I don't understand what is to be done.

  • Er... I actually don't have much pixel art so to speak, but I'm interested into it and did few other things before... let me see what I can find

    Some pixels

    + my current avatar

    Some character concept

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38398861/Xautrepretre%20copie%20fond.jpg" border="0" />

    Some 3D (I'm more into products, normally):

    <img src="http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38398861/Laptop%2Bnumpad%20small.png" border="0" />

    That is mostly all that are kind of related and that I have no shame showing yet ^^

  • I have a job and a recent family life that are quite time consuming, but if you are not in a hurry for deliverables, I am definitely interested in collabs.

    I can provide acceptable pixel art, interface design, simple 3d modelling, GDD writing, storytelling (my grammar should be checked by a native though) or testing... just don't ask me anything that is programming related ^^

    edit: I just tried the piggy demo, it's awesome!

    (I'm in GMT+8 by the way)

  • Actually, you do sound like a marketing guy.

  • Win what?

  • Aaaand it seems I have solved all my problems.

    Here is the cap if you're interested : dl.dropbox.com/u/38398861/not_so_simple_elevator.cap

    I am still interested for a more elegant solution, but this one at least works ^^

  • Actually I forgot a control sprite there, I'm reuploading the file. Basically the problem now, is if I go up and down between the two center floors.

    And I figure I could use a different stopper for top and bottom to prevent the first problem... but would there be a smarter way to do it?

  • I have few problems with elevators... as you may see here. (Z to jump, up and down to move the elevator when it stops)

    dl.dropbox.com/u/38398861/simple_elevator.cap

    1. How do I prevent the player from ejecting the elevator up when it reach the blue stopper?

    2. I have a stopper on the second elevator (the pink one) to stop the elevator half way, then I move this stopper up when I the elevator goes down. It works perfectly with one stopper, but with two stoppers, when I change the variable, both stoppers change, even though I picked the nearest one, and my second stopper is not going up... Do I need to create a different stopper for each stop, or is there a way to change the variable of the nearest stop only?

  • It took a very long time to load... and I don't know, I was unimpressed. It has very inconsistent graphic style, kind of floaty controls, and uninspired level design. It wasn't fun, and I did not felt compelled to go on. On the other hand, I was playing this just before I tried: kongregate.com/games/Wobly/infestor

  • I actually did download this one, as I am still working out how to move a stupid platform up and down when the player stand on it, this kind of things are way too advance for me at this time...

    But it is in my "to look into properly later" folder, and I should give credit for that! (I never managed to complete the stage though)

    Thanks a lot for the effort, I totally feel how disheartening it could be!
