I'm aware- I'd just use an invisible box behind it to click on to appear as though you're clicking a text-button.

Game's theme is zombies (green) but I guess this kind of thing would be awesome! (gold)

Or cartoony?

like so.

Try the game:

try the game but note that it is still in very early stages of development; perhaps you'll feel that something else is needed.

Thanks for your reply, looking forward to hearing back.

It was created in inkscape, not sure if that challenges what you have said or not.

I've actually forgotten why I'm using scale outer.. 2 months after initially choosing it..

Also, Ashley, the reason I even want this image is because it will be what my main menu buttons look like... I don't actually want the whole picture as one whole thing, if that changes anything.

Woops the one I sent a link for was one I made (mine as assets in it.)

My project (screenshots) uses scale outer... will update that dropbox link.

*updated* same margins, same layout size and scale outer is on

and window size to 800x500 (same as my game)

-- if you plan to give some advice on screen resolutions and something else I have likely done incorrectly--

This intends to go through cocoon cloud compilation for iOS and android.

http://db.tt/kbWbUZMe capx

http://db.tt/YCD7K7Fb image used

That capx is not the project which the above screenshots were taken in; which also shows that it is not a setting in the project itself.

• Windows image viewer.. 400x800

Construct browser game preview- 400x800 (no size change.) --- not zoomed in ---

Construct editor view not zoomed in

Literally dragged and dropped in.

I've also Double clicked>added a new sprite>opened the image in the image editor.

This image was exported from inkscape as a png.

Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

Thanks

• Ahh yeh this happens to me too- sometimes.

• Hey guys, anyone able to do some *simple* main menu graphics? Like really simple..

These sort of things, art wise:

opengameart.org/content/physica-assets

opengameart.org/content/physica-assets-expansion

And Iwanted to use this (CC allows,) but I won't have any "play" buttons or in game things which match this nice theme:

opengameart.org/content/uiuiuiui

I would mix them.. but we all know what mixed free assets look like o.o

• orangemicro be sure to tag me again when you update+need an eye, again.

• That's amazing, it's fantastic to see someone with passion succeed. :-)

• I haven't read any other posts so my answers aren't my own.

1.An indie game, to me, is one that is self-published (developers) sans-publishing house

2.It is a lonely thing.

3. They encounter elitists and forum hierarchy and get treated like a joke(non-existent in Construct, just a thought on it.)

4.I don't really understand what you mean by limitations.. but benefits.. here are a few: I don't have to meet these people, I can get help and give help, a chat with similar people with similar beliefs.

5. I feel private, but not anonymous- I can easily be found virtually; also, I have a big e-trail so I suppose it'd be hard to pretend I never existed. I'm scared to post things of my own on the internet (forums included.)

• As recommended by "Film Riot"

• Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
• Two examples of 'that sort' of game (side scroller??)

Example 2

Have to enforce Mad's point. I haven't started a kickstarter, mentioned it (my current project) to public+forums or anything simply because it isn't ready.

To request money you need something, and a good something.

I do understand your methodology though of asking for money too (eg a nice new computer or something like that.)

Want a new pc? Sell your xbox+bike... that's what I had to do.

And guess what? You don't even need a fancy-ass rig for construct! It's that fantastic. (gotta admit this rig is pretty cool though )

• BigDream goodo, get it working in your actual capx?

• This is a cool idea.. I don't think I'd use it in the same way as you..

For example, if I have a platform (object type: 'VerticalPlatform') but I only want one particular one to break as a trap when the player jumps on it.

(I have no immediate use for it but it'd be cool to have this rather than make a 'TrapVerticalPlatform' or whatever.
