Hi,

I am new to game designing and my lecturer introduced me to try with Construct 2, so I am wondering is it possible to create a 2D run and gun game (eg: Metal Slug) with Constuct 2 ??

You should be able to make any kind of 2D game with Construct 2. Why not download the free edition and try out some of the examples?

yep similar to skygear destroyer but i would like to make the character can move left and right only and stay on the ground. up is for jump, and down is for crawl. As for the background i would like to make it change only when the character advances.
