  • Make the layout 640x480 and it works fine.

Indeed. So this is an infinite universe?

    Don't tease. That's mean.

  • That is pretty trippy. Maybe if you think hard enough you can find a real life situation to match. Maybe it's like when you're in a car on ice and slamming on the breaks sends you into a slide.

But if you ask my two cents ...

    ...

... well I'll give it anyway. I would think most objects will come to a stop in about the same time whether they're planning on heading the opposite direction afterward or just remaining stationary.

  • Haha. I knew you could come up with a better joke than me for this one.

But seriously, from reading this board it seems to me that if you post a worthwhile feature on this board it's pretty likely to make it into Construct before 1.0. Maybe Rich just figured that was the easiest way to get a feature in. Sounds a lot easier than coding.

  • It does.

oops. sorry, I didn't see that the first time.

I blame my lack of sleep.

  • Sorry for the double post.

I just read the bumpmapping article. It's good, but it doesn't give any information on how to create normal maps.

  • That's a good article. I probably should have read it by now.

  • I set it to stop firing if it's overlapping a solid.

It just seems odd if bullets don't come out while the barrel of the gun is not obstructed.

I did set it like that before but his arm could go all the way around which made the arm look broken.

Maybe like in this pic. This will enable you to backpedal and avoids the broken arm effect.

    Crowbar is still buggy though.

  • LOVE the dialog. I hope the final game dialog is this funny. And I like how you have to throw the boomerang just right for it to hit the enemy both coming and going.

    A few things:

I get the 1st enemy dialog twice. But there's no enemy the second time.

A couple times the game would just crash. It seemed to be more likely to happen if I just ran through the level as quickly as possible. It always happened in a different place, but it was always at a spot where the layout was about to jump from one to another.

I think the controls are fine except I would want spacebar for jump.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • looks like it turned out as earlier rather than later

  • This does look really good. Thanks for doing it.

Maybe you could use different colors for upper legs vs lower legs, etc so it would be easier to tell the difference when you have connected them. Also maybe walk through a bit of the animation process.

  • That kind a system would make it easy to create all kinds of Rube Goldberg games.

Oh, Google [Bot] just told me that somebody already thought of that idea. Somebody always thinks of ideas before me.

  • There should be a way to remove a bone. (Is this already a feature and I just didn't see it?)

Edit: It apparently is possible. I guess I need to play around with it more.

  • Well bone movement needs documenting but maybe it's still changing too fast to be worth it.

  • I've only purchased Construct. But SoldjahBoy gave me a great deal: only $99.99 with unlimited upgrades for life!

  • Maybe I should just post my mailing address and you guys can just ship me whatever you think is best.
