  • Even big games have to start off small

I like your pixel art... it's unique and it's got style

  • Good luck Ash.

Construct can wait, your future cannot

I hope you do well mate!

  • lol yep...

  • You could also just use a simple detector which is the same size as the space between the chompets...

    Player is colliding with detector

    -Chompets movement start

Player is NOT colliding with detector

    -Chompets do nothing

Apart from making a bit of code that returns them to normal position, that would probably be one way of doing it, though with math it wouldn't matter how far apart they were and it would still work without having to make various detector objects.

  • I made a 3d bnox and then added the textures.. But when I test play it, the texture doesn't appear or sometimes really wrong like having the hero sprite as a texture..

Yes this has already been reported as a bug, hopefully it should be fixed in the next build? I can't remember what Ash said about it to be honest... Kind of annoying just now as I am usnig a lot of 3d boxes in my project lol.

  • Sounds like a pretty good idea to me... basically CTRL+Click each event sheet you want to add the new event to, and then add your event which will cascade to all selected sections. This would certainly save a lot of time in instances where repetative event situations occur.

  • HAahahaHA!

    Nice one

Welcome to the forums Hero... hope you like Construct as much as we do, and if we can be of any help we are always glad to lend a hand! Look forward to seeing what you come up with using Construct!

    Kudos

  • Draw Carey is right, there's a world size limit in the Physics behaviour which is about 4000x4000. Tweaking the World X Scale and World Y Scale parameters might help... but I think soon Physics needs a make-over, maybe with one of the new 2D physics engines...

Perhaps it may be a good idea to contact the guys that make PHUN, the 2d physics based drawing program (which is freeware). I don't know if it's open source, or if they will even be willing to share, but the collision is pretty good, and they even have 2d fluid dynamics.

You can find the PHUN website here:

  • Persoinally I hate using in-game VoIP because it usually always sucks bad... I prefer using something like Ventrilo or (to a lesser extent) TeamSpeak as you have benefits of:

    1. Better ping rates in the game... there's nothing like some gimp screaming in to his mic and causing packet overload due to faggotry.

    2. You can have private conversation with people you choose to talk to rather than a bunch of anonymous people who are probably annoying anyway.

But either way, I guess it could prove handy to have some kind of VoIP support... especially if you wanted to make your own "ventrilo" type of program.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • In Congo people have their very own problems:

After reading that article I had to check if mine was still there...

HAHAHA yeah I saw this same article last night while checking email... a news thing came up and I was like "WTF MATE?" and had to read it. I was gonna post it up here today but you beat me to it xD

Btw, we need a smiley for xD

  • *Tightens up Nike's... backs out of thread slowly*

  • downloads.phpbb-seo.com/phpbb3-seo-url-10/advanced-phpbb3-seo-mod-rewrite-38.html

Worth doing imo if you want some more referals from search engines.

I think all you have to do is put an unlinked HTML file in the root directory of the host with keywords in it... that should do the trick

  • Wow, that looks great

    We do now!

Looks great! Can't wait to see the rest of it all nicely finished in the same way. Fantastic job

  • This would be a great object to have, IE WAV to MP3 with xkbps, vice versa and the same with video (avi to iPod Mp4 etc).

All the software out for this already is pretty costly though, is this possible for an object in the future or are there too many complicated licensing issues?

Free Video Conversion Software (very good software mind you)

    VIRTUAL DUB

    Free WAV<>MP3 Software

    WINAMP

  • Nice! I like the way this turns out... very convincing and easy to make
