  • Thanks to u both bclikesyou & Megabeard

As i do intent to create soundtracks that are completely royalty free to the developer i still think that the route Megabeard described is best suited for me.

Starting low budget, thus composer helping developer offering service at low price & developer helping composer through their game as example.

    Thank u for the clarity

  • Dualmask

U can do this by the trigger "at wall left/right" + "On Jump".

  • Hi

As a developer i also compose my own music.

I have been writing music for more then 15 years.

Never have i created a music piece for someone else's game.

So who better to ask then u guys what a decent price would be to tag on a custom made music track.

In other words, when u don't think (it should be free), then what price should it be?

This question is not about selling to the masses.

Rather one project at a time, keeping the art where it should be.

And the price for it decent in general.

  • Small Typo In the picture.

    "Cutthroaths" instead of cutthraots.

Small detail, but it could help.

    The game looks fantastic!

  • shinicix

That i do not know, but the time of the first upload was on "March 12, 2012".

So if u can find out what construct version was the beta at that point then u will have the right one.

  • shinicix

Try to ask some of the others by putting a in front of their name.

I made this a long time ago and i dont have the plugins to open it.

Maybe others can help u with that.

I am planning on a new version of this racing example in the future.

  • So here is a open minded topic.

It started with a self communication about the possible future of general game development, and how this would impact the developers.

    The setting is this:

[quote:j757v6p5]When AI becomes smart and able enough to create complex games for u, meaning u only have to tell it what u would like, nothing more. Resulting in any player becoming a "developer" and vice versa.

The question that came with it is this:

[quote:j757v6p5]Would the term "developer" then no longer be adequate, because the AI takes that role.

It is a interesting topic because it got me going about: "Thinking" compared to developing.

So then would the term "Game Thinkers" be better?

In this possible future any gamer could tell the AI what the game should be like, even while playing.

The AI making the changes instantly without any wait on playtime.

So the player becomes the thinker about what should happen. (If they want to, or they could leave that to the AI)

And if so, would there still be a generation of Players apart from Game Thinkers.

Or would a Game Thinker be the ultimate merging of what we now know as players & developers.

So what do u think about the influence of the Question asked.

PS: (Its not about if this type of AI is possible.)

    Exactly, and well said.

The rewards are mainly internal, because each discovery is a gem given to curiosity through progression.

On top of that, with some time and effort it extends far beyond, reaching the outside.

As u said: Funny in a way, I didn't know I could get smarter, but I think everything can be learned, even being smart.

    That to me is wisdom.

And as my thoughts tell me often: Learn how learning works, and let the lessons be your endless growth.

  • The immersion has not left me but it has evolved to a much more understanding level.

Do i wish it was like when i was 10 years old, full of wonder and gazing at all the beauty and adventure on screen.

For me the answer is no, not without understanding how and why things work the way they do in games.

But i do miss the friends to play with that where there once, playing together is such a great immersion.

Friends grow older and go about their business, some being married and having children or just losing interest in playing together.

I like the social immersion of the arcade, and i am truly happy i can immerse myself completely in C2 and the wonderful world of game creation.

C2 is my playground and players worldwide are like the biggest EndBoss i have ever faced.

If i play good in C2 then maybe one day the social immersion around one of my creations gets a boost from them.

If anything then game developing has given a boost to functional clarity.

And i think clarity can beat down any illusion, games are beautiful illusions so same rule applies for that. (for me)

I love reality but can still enjoy a very simple illusion, but i do need to be in the mood for the latter

  • The best teacher in my book!

U are on the boss level MR Saygon!

    Truly impressive

I started out with click and play when i was about 13 "i think".

With it, i could create a simple game with event based logic and that always brought a smile to my face.

Then i stopped for some years, then i found out about multi media fusion.

It was fun so i used that for a while but eventually i backed away from it because of limitations and other hobbies.

Meanwhile wrote my own book, had a home music studio in which i created over 10 hours of self made music (not all great ) and got small success in bands.

Then i was curious and got on youtube to see if there where any more recent game building programs.

That is when i found Construct 2, i bought it instantly and started building concept games and apps.

Yes i would like to someday make "some" money with a game.

But, from all those other hobbies i have, i already learned that the best thing about this "for me" is the self communication while going through the creative and logic process.

The way solutions come into thought are phenomenal, and the payoff is instant gratification.

So yes i am also in the age range, and for me the best thing about it is being able to take the time and truly think about the next steps.

(Doing the jean luc picard wise self reflection and then... Make it so!)

Which in turn helps me with every day life choices: Event-->Condition-->Action-->Reflect-->Clear the bugs.

I just love everything about it, even if i have made a lot, but money

  • Thank you for the work u did, i love using the plugins.

Glad u "can/need" to focus on gamebuilding now.

Its so much fun to do, and i wish u the best of luck at it.

Hope to see some of your game work in the future.
