    Shouldn't be too had to implement, but the scroll to object could be tricky... may not even want to use it, but it gives that nice shake effect at the end.

    yea, not that its ugly or anything, but plasma is pretty heavy for such a tiny trail effect.

  • linear isnt bad, it just ruins the replayability of a game. i quite like another world, i love the way you have to figure out things which are seemingly obvious if you knew about them, and the way you do things which you would actually do in real life. things like pick up the laser pistol, swing in the cage, hold down the trigger for different firing types and wtv else i havnt played yet.

  • procedural generation is about as simple as using Random(X) in your creation events, never using sprites for explosions and stuff like that.

    its ok, worth giving it a try, but its made on GM so the graphics get messed up for me all the time.

    i think you should package more levels instead of it being just an engine with a few levels

  • you ask about my zombie game, thats a top secret project currently operating in stealth mode. ok but in all seriousness, yes there is a zombie game in the works. its not really anything atm, but its on paper, and i have about 20 cap files of various planned features, notably procedural ik movement, depth of field effects, destructible zombies (yes, you heard me), blood splattering and various blood effects, explosions, procedurally generated cities(undecided), ik fighting using analogue control and all kinds of other stuff.

    i can say it will have a huge feature chest, and me and my brother (davioware) plan on it being sortof the crysis of 2d indie games (interms of being graphically awesome), but it will be equally awesome in its innovativeness as far as a zombie game can be innovative.

    itll be awesome, but im focusing on finishing at least the main character engine of blobber before i start any work on the zombie game engine.
