  • The freaks versus the casual players

I would like to see in Modern Warfare 2 (or other similar games) a way to keep the people who are good and the people who are not so good together.

    For example a Beginners- and a hardcore-section.

If you keep finishing in the top-3 in the Beginner-mode, you will move to Hardcore. You cannot go back to the Beginners-section.

If you keep finishing last in Hardcore, you will go back to the Beginners-section.

Would you agree with this, if this was used in MW2, or a similar game?

  • Thanks for all suggestions.

I am now using the following construction:

    for each child

child: private variable is set to '1'

    --> do something

  • Sorry for the late reply. I already tried something, but I need more time.

Which I have today. To try to get it working.

    What is S.O.L.?

    pv = private variable?

  • My problem is that it seems that there's only a reaction to the first overlapping. Not to anything that comes after it (when overlapping of first still takes place).

I have 1 box (school), 1 sprite (child).

When child overlaps school: add 1 to variable.

If child stands in front of school building, it overlaps. Everything ok so far.

When a 2nd child comes as well in front of building, both children overlap. But it seems like it is ignoring the 2nd one.

    Because overlapping is already "true"?

I wonder how I can get the next overlappings being detected by the "school".

    Thanks in advance.

  • When you buy it, you receive 2 download links. One for you, one for your friend.

It is meant for friends, instead of strangers you meet on the Internet.

Example/tutorial for those who haven't seen it yet:

  • Damn, just realised I never did anything for April Fools! Argh, the 'bought out by adobe' and 'pink UI' ploys past years worked pretty well...

Pink was nice. Why wait 1 year? Have phun, do the May 1st-joke. Everyone will be crying and shocked.

I did. Sourceforge signs me out immediately when I press Submit. Therefore, I will never be able to post bug reports myself.

You could perhaps try to make another account? With another browser? See if that works?

Or try it with "open id" or other ways to log into sourceforge?

  • It was a play on words lucid said to guyon "What if you end up being the only guyon here?" the joke was "guyon" as in "Guy on" I thought it was a typo at first.

    Ah, thanks

  • Pretty!

Could you explain globally how the bloom- and "glow" (of light)-effect is achieved?

  • > what if you end up being the only guyon here

Oh, lol. I just got that, how stupid am I.

    I don't understand

    Normally his posts are game-related.

Metal Gear-related. About another trailer he edited and sometimes showing the computer he used, or a picture of his office.

It's getting near interesting, to me.

  • Well, two of those mentioned pretty much have a remake even though not really

Death Rally = Scrap Metal (top down racing/combat) http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/029/029604.html

Gridiron = Backbreaker (physics based football) http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/958/958004.html

Backbreaker is developed by the company that created the Euphoria engine, used in games like GTA 4.

    Very fun, very pretty

  • valve silently released a patch recently that slightly changes the ending to portal to set the stage for the sequel

    Thanks for the info^^

    I searched and found

"Gamers are reporting that the ending to the game has been changed. A video has been uploaded, which shows the altered sequence. What used to fade to black now takes very interesting twist using one of the soundbytes uncovered in the original content patch from Monday."
