Video "How to make sprite characters in 8-bits":

  • Interesting development.

    Nintendo doe$n't mind?

  • Oh no the horrors of wheel chair basket ball!!!!!!!!!!!

I have in fact played it. I also still have the file but I think only Deadeye should be able to distribute this monstrosity.

This is how world of warcraft became popular...

  • That's quality text !

    I like

    trevor

    BAM!

  • They just added this condition to families, why don't you try that?

Just add all the different objects to the same family.

Thanks for the tip, I'm using the family object, which contains the objects I want to choose from.

    Family is useful.

  • Thanks, I will try to get it work.

I have about 5 sprite-tetris-blocks which I will try to show randomly with your information.

  • hi,

I've searched in the forum (and found a similar topic, about creating private variables (in the pick random object-topic), but got lost while reading the topic) and wiki, but couldn't find the answer to:

does the event "pick random object" work with a tetris clone, so that Construct chooses from a set of (edit: already existing) pieces, randomly?

If so, that is what I'm searching for.

    (Perhaps the real question:)

But when selecting "pick random object", I only get to choose 1 object. So how can it select randomly, from only 1 object? I would like to have a random choise between multiple pieces.

  • No, we'll definitely have an importer for old .cap files.

The rewritten Construct imports (and converts?) without losing anything that has been made in the old cap-files?

  • Opening your exe file gives me a message saying that my videocard only supports Pixel Shader 0.0 effects

  • Just use the layer name. In quotes.

    Thanks

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Are you creating/spawning the bullets on the correct layer?

    Beginner's mistake

After adding layers, the numbering of layers changes. Thanks.

So in future I should, after adding a layer, check all objects that depend on layer-visibility?

Is it of any use to add a number and name to a layer?

So that, in event sheet, you think: I want the bullet always visible on the "ground layout", number x (no matter what it will be in future).

  • I am following the Ghost Tutorial, and suddenly my bullet is invisble when previewing/debugging the project.

When I place the bullet on the layout, I see it flying away once (in preview mode), but it doesn't spawn out of the Player Object, while clicking the mouse button. Before it did.

When aiming and shooting at the green tutorial monsters, they do get hit though, I just don't see the bullets flying.

Do you have any suggestion what I configured wrongly?

  • (Trying not to insert my own opion:) Perhaps culturally speaking unnatural, but if biologically possible, then perhaps it's only "odd" or uncommon.

  • Question: does (overall) performance get influenced by this implementation?

(Since Construct is somewhat heavy, on my Intel Celeron 2.8 GHz)

[quote:33mtv95x]The first may need some explanation. Show small icons (horizontal) is for when the bar is docked horizontally (top or bottom).

And if you mention in your own post to clarify some items, then shouldn't it be renamed?

I don't have any suggestions, but I just wanted to make you re-think about it.

  • If someone else can open the same file without errors, and you can open other files, it might be a combination of the specific file and your Construct installation.

You can always try to report a bug on the Sourceforge bugtracker.
