  • The freaks versus the casual players

I would like to see in Modern Warfare 2 (or other similar games) a way to keep the people who are good and the people who are not so good together.

    For example a Beginners- and a hardcore-section.

If you keep finishing in the top-3 in the Beginner-mode, you will move to Hardcore. You cannot go back to the Beginners-section.

If you keep finishing last in Hardcore, you will go back to the Beginners-section.

Would you agree with this, if this was used in MW2, or a similar game?

  • Great idea. That would keep the noobs from the hardcore players. Then you can finally play with people that has the same experience level.

  • halo 3's ranking system does this, and it works well, but there are always going to be people who work around the system, quitting early, team killing excessively for many games to get negative rank etc, so that they can fight ONLY noobs.

  • Every community has their jerkoffs.

    That sux

  • Sounds like a nifty Idea and I think I speak for nearly everyone when I say that everything that puts us away from Idiot players is a good step forward.

Sadly, MW2 has alot of those retarded players that just piss me off so much that I quit the game once in a while to come back in a month.

  • Try Construct 3

  • I've been playing Bad Company 2 a lot recently, the server list system is outdated and ruins the game. Halo 3 did indeed do it well though, it's sad that other games aren't doing a similar thing. Playing against people who aren't a similar skill level to you is a game breaker.

  • About the BC2 "server list" I think it's way better than what has been done in MW2 etc. I rather just play on few my favourite dedicated servers and that way if it's good server players will come back to play again there and there will be way less idiots etc. as usually there's always admin or two online (not so much in BC2 but as example CoD4 where I play there's always 3 +/- 1 admin playing too)

Oh and yeah the ranking system is pretty good way ensuring but I rather would have option for noobs to try their luck in vet games too. But anyways

Halo 3 catered for this too, I think they had a "social" (called something like that) section where people with any rank can play against each other. But Halo 3 also had ranked matches, where you're put against people who are roughly similar to your skill level.
