  • Yo! I'm Aaron and I'm from Virginia, USA.

    Same as everyone else, grew up on thr 2600 (Dig Dug and Berserk were my favs.) and moved on to the NES, SNES and PlayStation. I've been a huge fan of Mega Man since I was 8, and also love Donkey Kong Country, Skullmonkies, Gex:Enter the Gecko, Final Fantasy and Mario (though not obsessively ).

    Game design has always been something I've wanted to do since 8 years old. Discovered Klik n Play and made some terrible games. Moved on to Games Factory and make slightly less terrible games. Found out about Construct after reading a MMF2 vs. Construct thread at TDC (such a mean community!) Construct is awesome!

    On a personal note, I'm 25, going to school for Video Game Programming (learning C# right now

  • I mentioned wt when reporting another bug. I think Rich looked at it and didn't get any error. Perhaps I'll post it again much to your dismay.

  • It would be wonderful to not have all my previously opened layouts load back when you start Construct.

    Like, an option to just load the first layout or a "Load Layout(s) at startup" under the project properties.

    You may say "Close teh layouts before you're finished!" But...! When I go to close some layouts, Construct crashes (seems only my PC has this issue?).

  • Anyway, it sort of reminds me of Actraiser 2. I guess it would be stealing ideas if you gave the knight the ability to glide if you hold the jump button after a double jump...

    lol my thoughts exactly. That was a TOUGH game!

  • That is pretty nice looking dude. Seriously, I love the background and all the movement going on. The main guy looks and moves great. I was confused by his jumping a bit; I couldn't always perform the double jump. Maybe just tweak the condition a little to execute it easier.

    Animations looks great! For his (stopped) slash animation, maybe add a few more frames of the sword going down further. It looks like he stops his attack a little short.

    The treants looked really cool, and the particle effect worked well for when they are hit. Really liked the tree that appear in the bg and foreground. Once you add more elements to the layout it will feel less empty, b/c right now until the last part the level kinda just repeats and then oh! a skull! lol

    In honesty, a great start! Add a HUD (if you're using one) so we can give critique on it too. This looks very cool dude!

  • Sounds like a great plan guys. Really looking forward to all the future updates. We all appreciate the time and effort you've put into this wonderful program.

  • MMO's (or RPGs for that matter) are pretty time consuming and require alot of variables/text/sct. I highly suggest trying simple projects and then building up to that level. In reality, a small team would be more efficient than going solo.

  • My biggest wish this year was for my dog Chibi Moon to get better, she had stopped eating on and off for about six weeks. After being at the Vet's for a few days, we found that her organs were shutting down and her protein level dropped almost to 0. We had to put her to sleep today, December 26th.

    The date December 25th is rooted from paganism anyways, Christ was actually believed to be born in fall.
