    but as you said having 1000 or more blocks with platform behaviour for sure would make the game slow down.

  • How can I make a tile to change his animation depending on his neighbor?

    For example:

    If I have 3 blocks like this:

    [1][1][1]

    Where [1] represents center frame of a tile

    And I want the blocks to automatically change to:

    [2][1][3]

    Where [2] represents left frame of a tile, and [3] right frame.

    Another example would be

    [1][1][1][1][1]

    To:

    [2][1][1][1][3]

    So it would be something like "If doesn't have neighbor at right, change frame to 3" and "If doesn't have neighbor at left change frame to 2"

    But I've no how to do that in C2.

    Anyone can help me please?

    I'm looking for a good artist who can make something like this:

    trees, flowers, and such.

    I'm doing a 2d sandbox game,

    It's not a minning game, so I just need grass/ground tiles,

    not minerals.

    But I do need chests and things like that.

    Also I'm looking for sprites,

    for the playable character and the enemies/npcs.

    So if anyone here has a style similar to the image posted above,

  • But aren't navigators restricted?

    I just thought that Windows apps should be faster than Navigator Apps.

  • If my game runs with 30FPS on Chrome (for example),

    If I export it as windows app, would it run also with 30 FPS?

    Or would it run better? or worse?

    Which platform is the best/faster?

    HTML5? iOS? Windows? Mac?

  • I was looking at the different licenses,

    and saw that Personal license got "Make windows apps",

    that means it export the game to .exe file?

    so is there any site with paid sprites/tiles?

    Like to pay for the sprites set and use them for comercial purposes?

    saw the picture of the events,

    and notice that there's just 1 "every x seconds" event,

    and the others are "set time".

    so sorry for making a non-sense thread. xD

  • So, here are the events I setted up for my "Enemy",

    is just really random and basic, to see how it works.

    I created a sprite called "Mob",

    then created an instance variable called "MobMov" and setted to start with the value "derecha" (right).

    The sprite also got platform behaviour with default control set to off.

    So my intention was to generate a mob near my character every second (just to see if they spawned), and that was the first problem, it just spawns 1 mob. Not more.

    Then the idea was to randomly move left-right every 1 to 10 seconds,

    so if the mob was walking to right, every 1 to 10 seconds it would change and walked left.

    But it appears, go right, a second later go left, and then never goes right again.

    So..

    what am I doing wrong? xD

    EDIT:

    "Mover" is the playable character,

    and "Block" is the ground.

    So Mover.X is where my character is on X range.

    And Block.Y-100 is to generate it above the ground,

    and fall to ground.

  • I have a 4000x2000 layout,

    and the view is 600x480,

    so how can I add a 600x480 background that sticks in the back and if I move in the map (platformer) the background keeps the same always? (Just flat background)

  • Fixed with on landed + key pressed = set animation walk.

    If I change the landing animation to walking, then if I jump without moving it will walk on position (non-sense).

  • So when I move left or right the animations of my character is okay (is a platform game), when I jump the animation is okay, also when falling and when landing and when stopped show the same animation.

    The problems is, when I'm walking (all okay), then jump while walking (all okay), but then when land and keep walking it show the animation of landed, not the animation of walking, I have to stop moving, and start to move again.

    How can I fix that?

    if object is offscreen set visible false,

    then it would be faster?

    Or the same?

    And yeah,

    I tried with 40960px wide,

    just to see if large world could be generated.
