  • Hi, I'm making my first video game (thanks to Scirra Constuct Classic) since 2013.

    It's called "Tcheco no Castelo do Sarney" and hopefully will be concluded this year.

    No public versions are available yet but I've published a trailer last year - and a second trailer a couple of days ago.

    Both trailers have gameplay scenes. Hope you like it:

    I'm thinking about making some Scirra-themed videos (like tutorials) in Brazilian Portuguese and publish them on YouTube. I want to assure that everything will be 100% legal so I have two questions:

    1) I'm planning to show my own original art and music - but could I show Scirra Construct's (both CC and C2 - I have a license) interface? I know many people uploads videos showing Construct's interface but I don't know if it's legal (and if Scirra likes/approves this).

    2) Could I monetize these videos? I know I can make money with my CC games but I have no idea if I can make money with Scirra-themed videos. The main reason for my doubt on monetization is - once again - the presence of CC/C2 interface on these videos.

  • I also have this lag sensation when I play my game with the X360 gamepad.

  • It's also a big problem to sell something targeted for poor people, because it can become exactly as the android market where everything has to be free to get plays.

    These games don't have to be free -- they just have to be cheap!

    Ouya could be successful in Brazil also because everything is overpriced here. 99 USD is the price of a Dynavision (8-bit Nintendo clone) today. A Brazilian Mega Drive 4 (Sega Genesis) console costs 125 USD for instance.

    I bet Ouya would cost 400 or 500 US Dollars on Brazilian stores. But since we can buy it online for 99 USD (in fact almost 200 considering shipping and taxes to Brazilian Customs) it may be big here.

    If Scirra makes an Ouya exporter I'll find a way to get 99 bucks and buy one.

  • Your action in event line 1 needs fixing.

    Double-click on the action "-> System: Set global variable 'PAUSE' to 1

    When the box comes up, type in: 1 - global('PAUSE')

    After you do that, line 1 should look exactly like line 21 in the picture I posted above.

    I've pasted the wrong image on the first post of this topic - but I was refering to the same picture MrMiller posted. Sorry for this confusion.

    Besides this little problem I'm amazed with Construct Classic. Such an amazing tool.

    I'm trying to make a pause / unpause feature in my game.

    It's very easy to make it using a Keyboard (Thanks ElPerez!) however my brain is melting because I simply can't do this using the Xbox360 Controller plugin.

    This topic already discussed this same problem. User MrMiller said this should work:

    But it doesn't work for me. I did the same steps shown on this figure. "Pause" group on my event sheet looks exactly like this figure but the game doesn't unpause. I don't know what I'm doing wrong..

    I can make the game pause with "start" and unpause with a different button - but this is not what I want. I want to use the same button ("Start") to pause and unpause. Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance!

    Right now I want to make games for Windows.

    C2 can't export games to .EXE so I'm not interested in C2 yet. Thanks anyway!
