  • Congrats on the winning, awards etc. !

  • OH jesus wept, not another "how do I do widescreen on regular and the other way around yada yada blah blah" threads.

Do it in a window, there, problem solved, next!

  • Hundreds? I'm not THAT slow at typing

But the idea is about it being quick enough not to pause the "creative process" - right now I have to go to the menu, pick Save As, check if the folder is the same (seems to change sometimes), scroll down to see what the current filename was (since it's now shown anywhere when working) and then type up a new name.

When I could just click one button. And so could you But different strokes for different folks, I understand.

Well if the few seconds it takes to type a name to save it as, pauses your "creative process", you've got a problem.

No I am not. LOL Particle Illusions is a 2d application it is just pixels that have behaviors and are not affect like the topic suggests.

But other posted examples prove me wrong Especially the Cinema 4D. WOW what a great new feature. I may have to try and get my boss slip that in to the budget. I always wanted to try Cinema 4D.

    Bows graciously to all

Actually I was replying to this comment of yours.

Not the versions of Maya or Max that I have. Partials just spew out. if you add gravity they fall with the head still facing up. And from a lonnng time ago at least old lightwave did not either. Particles do not normally rotate with gravity.

But since you admit you're wrong, no harm done.

P.S. particle illusion is far more than "just 2d glitz" too.

  • But every which way is not what he requested. Can you please sight an example of a non-custom application that "emits" partials with gravity physics and has facing direction toward the flight path?

    Lightwave

    Softimage

    Houdini

    3DS Max (probably)

    Maya

    Blender (probably)

    particle illusion

Anyways, I'm with Ash on this. Doing it with sprites works better.

  • So I guess the only question I have left is about any way I could make holes in objects. It would have to be a method that lets the player move through the spots that were taken away. All my experiments with changing the solidity of objects while the game is running have run into brick walls so far.

    -> Canvas: Update collision mask

  • Awesome work!

    Now.. about that balance board..

  • All depends on what it is you're doing, and how much you got of it. Post a cap so people can see if it happens to them, or make suggestions on how to optimize.

    YOU ROCK!!!

  • First of all, sweet game, and I instantly recognized the style to be yours.

So I'm playing , all of a sudden I meet the wasps without wings, and start getting hit. To my surprise my 360 controller which is lying on the floor just starts rattling around. Oh hey, he added gamepad support! I pick it up, start spraying around and aiming, press every button and combination imaginable but DAMMIT I CAN'T MOVE OR JUMP! I assume this was all part of the "deception" theme.

Good idea and well executed for 2 days. Construct is the best tool for 2 day game compos.

Haha, same thing happened to me, only my controller was sat on the desk. wood desk + sudden vibrating controller = jump a couple of inches into the air from shock.

  • Still loling

  • I don't know who that is.

  • Welcome back! and fun game, been playing on and off since you first posted the links. Gonna make it into a full one one day?

Me? Or does some one want to do that.

Don't you need to be granted given permission to start authoring on Wiki?

You sign up and that's it. It's the foundation of what a wiki is, anyone can make a page or change something or add something new.

    Example:

You make a page about this and link it to the correct places on the wiki. Someone else notices you made a typo, they fix that. Someone else adds a new link you forgot about. You fix a typo you noticed, and add another link. Someone cleans up the formatting. So on and so forth.

Edit: You should also mention the versions of these plugins too and make sure your links point to the latest versions.
