  • For me this returned the same value as it began with

  • I can't say 100% that it is a console bug, but I can't imagine it is anything other than.

When I export my game, the game as nw.js runs nothing like in previews sometimes. I can export the exact same game twice and get two different results. One will be super buggy, variables all over the place meaning players die at the start of levels, and another will work like the previews do. Sometimes It takes as much as 3 exports to get right.

Recreating the issue is literally just exporting a game to nw.js I imagine.

I use Windows 10 and the latest version of Construct 2.

Oh fab, so simple haha, thanks.

Greenworks looks fine (untested), thanks. But do I set it up to work with a user. Is that API? I see it activates achievements by name but how does it know which user to activate it for, etc? IS Greenworks alone enough?

    Thanks a lot

  • i could use it to delete unneeded layers in levels. The effects I need though. Thanks!

  • Not really, but my game is highly graphical and i'd like to cover all options. Need more options for my settings menu too lol

  • I know how to use mouse and touch etc. But i'm not sure what events would mean that all images become more blured/pixelated, so that the game runs less laggy, for those with older PCs.

    Thanks for all the help

  • Yeh totally! A touch interface would be great. Its easy to drag and drop, and perfect to use menus and such like the drop downs. It would speed up the game programming progress.

For example today i added animations into a sprite, but had to go out. If i had my tablet then while out i could rig up the animations on how runstart leads to runmiddle and cycles etc, for me to fully check when i get back.

  • I have been a game developer on C2 since January, running Tallstory Studios- https://twitter.com/Kenthria_Gaming.

Construct 2 is a great and easy/quick to use system, but how great would it be to extend that to mobile. Frequently I am out at the park or waiting for friends and I get an idea of how to solve an issue i've had for days, but I don't carry my laptop outside to edit the code. How amazing would it be to take out your tablet, open a Construct 2 app, and edit your events sheet.

Initially i'm thinking really simple- just event sheet editing. However if a layout editor could be included the app will be even more of a hit. I'd pay for such an app. So you would open the app, open your game file, then see tabs with event sheets and be able to change things on them. Maybe people can test the game on tablet from it too; its a huge selling feature to bring people into C2. Files could stream over from cloud, so you save the project on cloud on laptop, and can open the file on tablet.

    What do you think?

  • No you're not reading the post properly. The saves are made-the computer closes down from battery loss, the computer is then turned back on, and it has undone the last few saves- since C2 was last properly closed. This isnt something common with other software. Autosaves are enabled.

  • Try Construct 3

  • Great thanks

  • Okay so the layout size i began my game with was 1010, 660 (ipads). I have since vamped it up to about 8000, 660- as im going layouts that are levels of platformers. The window size is about 500, 330 (or whatever is proportional to 1010, 660). Will it work okay on tablet devices no matter the layout size? Ive seen many android/ios games with long levels so id imagine there would be no problem- but best to check before i get building.

    Thanks

  • How is this a bug? If it keeps on happening, back up to the cloud..

Because i shouldn't have to? Because it should be looked into why i must constantly back up work that construct 2 must be deleting when it shouldnt/doesnt need to.
