  • Problem Description

    Even tough I remembered my password correctly, switched it, and remembered it again I still can't connect to construct 3 scirra site. I know this for sure by logging in here in separate tab.

    I know this is not right place to ask but there was no support or report bug or anything on the site.

    I naturally run editor in admin mode

    this problem exists also in second computer of mine

  • Problem Description

    After installer goes to installing phase, it freezes, staying static in background. It can only be killed from task manager.

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • run installer until installing phase. Anything you accept or don't accept doesen't affect the outcome.

    Observed Result

    freeze.

    Expected Result

    standard installation.

    windows 10, lastest updates, no self-made customizations. Problem has existed for weeks.

    I tried versions 229, 230, 231 and just in case 200. All of these freeze exactly same way.

  • Problem Description

    Launching editor pops up window saying "class ???? is missing." (question marks stand for symbols I can't reproduce) It does this every possible way I try to open it. (directly, shortcut, select project -> open , etc)

    Steps to Reproduce Bug

    • open the editor by any means.

    Observed Result

    window appears saying that some glibberish class does not exist.

    Expected Result

    I suppose it should open the editor.

    Windows 10, latest updates, no self-made customizations. Problem existed for weeks

    music is awesome, combat plain and simple just as it is supposed to.

    level design should be more clear, it looks like someone had dropped their bag of sprites to ground. Adding contrast, ambient lightning and shadows should do the thing but I'm not sure about that myself.

    I have currently project to make a moba with C2. I started with fog of war, and I don't know how to make satisfying vision with my current knowledge.

    Basically I want "realistic fog of war" where units cannot see behind objects, and vision stacks from multiple sources. Vision shows objects with "team" variable same as oberserver's and hides others.

    I can achieve simple fog of war with black spheres in layer with "destination in" blending, but you can still see behind walls. I tried to use shadowligth, but multiple lights make glitchy shadows.

    I think tile-based map is best for this, but it would be strange as heroes etc. would still move around with 360 degrees 8direction, plus map would be one huge constantly updating lagfest.

  • I know how to use shadow caster and shadow light objects, but one thing has made me wonder.

    How I can make object, which will cast a shadow, but also have it's regular texture?

    At least in basic level, they will be covered by their own shadows, rendering themselves black.

  • Would Construct work If I download one into my dropbox folder, and launch it from any computer I have log in with dropbox? And If it wouldn't, is there any way to use it in cloud?

    So, I have 2 broblems:

    1. Why does not arrows work to move orange object?

    2. Why does not double-tapping resize zoom?

    There are only 10 events and I think I am an average constructor but still this problem is still way too much for me.

  • this isn't answer good enough because they work if there is two objects, but number of objects I have can change a lot, even during the game.

  • I have multipile player objects. I want to zoom my game out enough to they all will be seen.

    I think that this is most easily be done by just calculating distance between objects and doing re-scaling with it. Higher number, less zoom. If you have better idea to do the same, I'll accept it as answer as well.

    So, how to calculate higest distance between like +4 same objects?

  • As construct has it's Shadowcaster object, is there any method to trigger event when object is overlapped by shadow?

    I don't have any examples, as this question is so clear and I need so many games needing this in this very form.
