• Also, just on the subject on 3DBoxes. I noticed that although you can add Private Variables to them, there is no way to actually utilize those private variables in the Event Manager. At least that I am aware of. Is this functionality a possibility in the future? It would open up quite a few doors for me .

  • First things first, this program has some amazing potential. I only heard of it yesterday and damn am I impressed. Anyways, on the matter at hand.

I had this issue, and went searching. Turned out there was a Construct folder in Application Data, but not a Scirra folder. I at first figured that the Scirra folder name must have been used in an older version of the program, and the Construct folder has replaced it at some point (functionality wise). I almost shrugged it off, but decided to create a Scirra folder just to be sure. BAM, worked straight away. It would seem that the program has tried to place the Temp.exe in here only to find that the folder doesn't even exist.

Not sure whether this is the same for everyone, but at least give it a go.

Short Version: Create a Scirra folder in your Application Data.

  • As far as I can tell, the black screen goes away as soon as you change any video setting. Resolution, Color Depth, Refresh rate all remove the 'black screen' (Even if you change them back immediately). However (in my case), when doing this the 3D boxes that were placed are only shown as a grey square, and aren't rendered properly in the editor.

I must note, however, that this is only within the editor. If I run the game even when the editor has the black screen, the 3D boxes will appear correctly.
