  • A clone is a copy of the gameplay mechanic which is ok, but you may have problems if you go further and use the original games artwork or music etc.

Ethan - I'm still trying to find the perfect description but here's my latest attempt: Psi an indie, retro action RPG shooter about a woman with extreme psychic powers against a horde of zombies and killer machines set in a futuristic, post-apocalyptic, cyberpunk universe rendered in comic book-style art (whew!).

  • rexrainbow created a neat plugin that i think went largely unnoticed, https://www.scirra.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=153&t=80616 "event balancer" which can split logic up so its not all run at the same time to speed up fps. Haven't tried it yet myself but may help you?

  • Wow, this is really great. I'm getting between 50-60fps on my old iMac in safari no less. I think this is a serious alternative to give Unity with Playmaker a run for it's money.

  • Hey, great game so far. How did you go about constructing the world map? I gather it's not randomly generated. Are you using a very large tile map?

  • I'm around 2000, though construct 2 has changed a lot since i started the project. Also i think construct counts comments so it's hard to say the real amount.

  • If you want to use scratch then you should probably use Stencyl. Personally i find the block system to be awkward and slow. You need to know where each block is located in the menu and piece them together like jigsaw, where as in Construct each command is available with a simple click on an object. I haven't used the block system that much but i can only image how bad it would be when you have a large game with lots of code.

  • Guess i got a bit lax on the bug testing with all the recent additions, fixed a couple of big ones.

  • helena You are right it's a spelling mistake, i don't know what the dialogue will read in the final version yet, but thanks for testing and spotting it.

    Found a bug which stops the number from being displayed if more than the amount needed to power up is collected in one go. Fixed in next build.
