    How do you actually "code" in it? What i see is a number of popular game templates that you just tweak the variables and add new sprites and backgrounds etc?

    I couldn't afford it, but for a professional studio looking to churn out iOS games $2,675 wouldn't be such a bad investment.

  • Technological developments have made complete rewrites for porting to other systems unnecessary. Gamemaker runs on PS4/Vita, both Unity & Unreal run pretty much everywhere, Construct 2 itself exports to Wii...so if PS4 supports HTML5 (which we know it does) and can support WebGL (we know it MIGHT), well...no real reason to get another company involved, is there?

    Perhaps unnecessary but sometimes there are other factors to consider.

    I'm super interested in consoles and handelds! : )

    That said, as I'm alone on the project, I know I won't have the time to handle it correctly myself.

    There are a lot of TRC / rules to follow, and I'm not good at it.

    My focus is on the lead PC/Mac/Linux version, and I'm talking with others studios to see how the ports could be made.

    Nothing confirmed for now, I'm at the very beginning of the discussions : )

    Which doesn't really answer my question...hopefully he'll have a chance to respond himself.

    Usually when another company ports a game it is rewritten in another language, hence you wouldn't have the html5 issues. But yes, hopefully he'll let us know.

  • Arima you should just leave the spam. Tom is never going to do anything about it if you keep cleaning it up. If you leave it he will see the extent of the problem. I think it's now going beyond the work a volunteer should do for free on behalf of another company.

  • This is great so far, an i love the pixel art. One major problem i had is that the game seems to pause for an instant every second or so making the experience very jerky. Tried on both Safari and Chrome.

  • If you look at the time frame of the spam, they are all really close, so perhaps it is indeed the attack of the bots.

    Some might not like this idea, but how about using an authentication process for posting if you do not have at least 1 silver medal, or 5 bronze medal, time been a member......or something like that.

    I agree with this idea. Have a capcha for people under a certain rep count, when you reach it the capcha is removed.

  • All the mods have visited the forum within the last month. It's an international community so they may visit when you are a sleep. It's also something they do voluntarily not a full time job. I agree we could use some more, especially as the forum visitors has grown substantially and the amount of spam we've seen lately.

  • Progress has been much slower than i'd like over the past month but hopefully i can pick up the pace again soon.

    To help colourblind people i added a small fx to show which bubbles match the next one ready to fire.

    I also made a score board which tracks the players success after each round.

    You are awarded extra points for beating your old best score.

    Thanks. Fixed a couple of bugs. One where the bomb powerup didn't work while the bubble swap hazard was active. The other when using the first special ability to clear all bubbles and win the level froze the game. I'm away for a couple of weeks but will have a new version to post when I get back.
