  • I had the same problem not long ago.

    I solved it by adding the sine behavior to the object and made it very fast so it looked like a shake. The sine behavior can be activated via event, so it's very useful for this =)

    well it works just one problem if the camera isn't locked on the player, like if your all the way at the left edge it wont work.

    Yeah if im jumping backwards in slo mo and sine waving it looks bad. I just need the actual screen to shake.

  • I need to be able to create a screen shake effect just like the behavior plugin.

    I can't use the behavior plugin since you cant deactivate its main functions. I have no clue were to start have searched all the forums current posts on this subject but have had no luck.

    This is my Camera settings to shake.

    Every Tick > Sroll to position > X: PlayerBox.X

                            Y: lerp(PlayerBox.Y - WindowHeight /6.0, ScrollY, 0.5)

    Layout size: 1.5

    please help

    I made a Mario block type .capx that I use in my game.

    If you try the link below you will see it works 100%

    However if you export the .Capx and try it in new R96 it causes it to freeze. Even after Export.

    I will for the moment revert to R95 hopefully you can find a fix in my programming or in Construct2 future release. Every past release prior to R96 has worked?

  • Even if you covet or use only .Wavs and use Construct to convert em to .ogg etc... Chrome still is behind Firefox as far as sound is concerned in my opinion.

    Firefox is the best.

    Sadly they are all MP3 you can simply convert using media.io/ to .WAV

  • Check the bitmap i put in a post it's now 60 fps .. i have this strange bug sometimes since last C2 release ... it's strange ... fps go to a great number but the game seems lag more !!! ... when fps = 60 the game is perfect and don't lag !!! so i really have 120 fps displayed but never get again this value launching new game after ... always 60 fps ;-p

    OK you know what this has to be a release bug. Not me. I'm gonna ask Ashley, whats up.

    just noticed you above post. Another theory maybe its just dropbox lag not uploading to everywere right away or somthing?

    I dont know just happy its working it will be a while before im done so by then it will be R100 plus.

    Also I'm using a 2x Nvidia 460 SC 768 sli off, THANK you for all your help.

  • euh .... in previous release i was always reloading before having only 5 ammo to be sure to have enough ammo to shoot many zombies in a few seconds !!! so this "ammo < 1" test is quite "new" .... i test again, 10 seconds !

    Ok everything you just said worries me, and you say you get 120 frames per second in an earier post??? I dont think thats right? as I never go past 60 or below. In any browser IE CHROME FIREFOX. I know Ashley has stated your not supposed to go beyond 60 in a post somewhere.

    Do you still get 120 FPS ?

    I have an FPS counter in top left text box.

    that's surreal and utterly impossible as the "Enabled" is triggered as so.

    when ammo after shooting the pistols goes to ZERO

    "Ammo" = "0" > Set value to "Enabled"

    or

    "Ammo" less then "1" > Set value to "Enabled"

  • Everything is possible ;-( ... many times some differences have been found between 32 bits and 64 bits C2 releases ... so perhaps the generated code can be slighly different and generate this kind of problem ;-( ... so you need to test this game on a 32 bits os too ... or find someone which can do it to be sure this is a C2 problem.

    Firefox 13.0.1 same problem ... ok it's obviously something new in C2 or in code ... before this release i have just a problem using shift or R not working "alone" but "shift+R" reloaded ammo very well ! ;-p

    Ok last ditch effort before I pass out. I added a variable check I think was missing. Also added the ability to see in text if Reload Group is "ENABLED" or "Disabled".

    lol but seriously I will make sure that group is active through variables etc., maybe tweak the way it activates or something. My YouTube vid will be up soon. I'll post it on main page. It's getting late, i'm tired sore. So i'll work on tweaking reload tomorrow.

    I will adapt, it seems resistance is futile.

    Have you ckeck if the group "reload" grouping this 2 events is activated ?

    I test on Chrome and Firefox both work fine Chrome has little sound jump here n there. On my end and on all PC's in my house all is good?

    Firefox works the best its like playing on a game system its meant for.

    I'll set up a global variable to check and show if reload becomes active.

    Windows 7 64bit OS

    Using 64Bit Construct2

    and North American Keyboard.
