  • Some morons are saying : This will never succeed with some few million dollars ! These dumbs don't realize that the kickstarter campaign main objective is to analyze the demand for the product so that the surelly many investors can then inject the real money on the project. By now i'm sure they have a good enough view of the product demand :) It could yet fail terribly or win spetacularly. No one can know for sure.

    Not to mention I would bet, only 25% of the general populous knows about Kickstarter. If this thing makes it to retailers then, I can see a strong market for a cheap affordable gaming console.

    Main concern is the 4.0 leash, mobile games move much faster than console.

    You have to remember "bad news is good news" the media loves to make things look bad to gain attention and MONEY.

    I can still play the N64 the Wii Snes whatever I love games, I dont care for graphics all the time. Unless its Crysis or Uncharted etc.

    and is cheap

    where you can buy a tegra3 quadcore with 99 dollars?

    But how the games make money if the console is easy hacking

    and come with a lot of free games?

    They say you can choose any method of monetization, so I figure Google ad's and Pay pal unlocks etc.. might be an option.

  • there are plenty of gaming tablets but the problem is they are all expensive, Fragile also very fragile. You have to get a special carrying case and specialized accessories, Charge is usually an issue after a year or two so replacing batteries and cords that become lost or damaged. Screen becomes scratched and blurry, Plus you cant play with 4players in the same room on a tablet I think.

  • I was hoping if they support HTML5, it could to improve market share, otherwise if there no HTML5 support, it's probably useless console

    I'm willing to guess while I wait for reply from there Dev team, that since its Android 4.0 maybe even 4.1 upon release it should have WebGL

  • Interesting video, great price; will have to have a proper look at the specs later! Not expecting next gen but if it's OS like they imply I'd love for them to try and get some obscure tech in there: Voxel graphics anyone?

  • This could get really big. Great potential if done right.

    About C2 working on it that depends among other things but mainly of Android supporting WebGL fully. WebGL is the key.

    I actually just sent them a message, asking about WebGL and HTML5 etc support. I'll post back what they say. Also they have reached over 65% of there goal in a few short hours. I also asked if they wont have WebGL support if .EXE wrapping will be supported.

    Great games come from great developers.

    Developers can wave farewell to the roadblocks of bringing a console game to market. Anyone can make a game: every OUYA console is a dev kit. No need to purchase a license or an expensive SDK. It's built on Android, so developers already know how it works.

    That doesn't mean OUYA is an Android port. You can create the next big title in your bedroom ? just like the good old days! Who needs pants!?

    OUYA could change AAA game development, too. Forget about licensing fees, retail fees, and publishing fees.

    This thing looks great, I recently just backed them. I pledged 149$ because international shipping. Also Added an Extra Gamepad just made sense.

    I wounder if Construct 2 will work with this platform as it is Android?

  • I think you need to wait the programers make webgl effects

    I can wait, however an ETA or estimation of progress or release would be great.

    I hope it happens, as the effect's in Classic look very useful. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • I'm trying to search for any way to create a zoom effect and I keep getting Classic results. It seems Classic is rather spoiled lol. There are too many effects in the classics .fx plugins to count that I want.

    Mainly Zoom effects, depixelate and sharpen

  • You could also use 'Play by name' and enter:

    choose("sound1", "sound2", "sound3")

    or however many sounds you have. Saves some events.
