  • I've AdSense account and i can use banners to monetize my games on my own website, but how to monetize Facebook game? as i know AdSense doesn't allow ads within iframe and publishing a C2 game on facebook makes it "iframed" or aganist AdSense policy.

I searched the web for an answer but i didn't find a clear one.

    for example:-

""Currently there is Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt (FUD) over whether using AdSense in a Facebook app will get your account closed by AdSense, and whether it will get your app banned by Facebook.""

    Source: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4635 ... -game-page

so how to monetize Facebook games ?!

    Thanks

I don't think it's possible! you already closed the application! so how can the app do anything after its closure ?!

the close action should be the last action. no actions after "close" action have time to work.

but somebody correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not 100% sure about what i said.

  • nimos100

whatever you decide the closing trigger that may be pressing ESC key or click/touch a graphic button etc. the action will be ----> (Browser : close), for the browser object.

then you can add another action before (close)

    For example :-

on touched object A ----- > play sound , do this, do that, browser : close.

  • nimos100 "On exit program " can be achieved using "on pressing the close button" or any condition triggers the closing action.

Aphrodite move to is very basic and should be available, how can i simply move an object from point A to point B with a given time or speed without it ? it'll take many conditions and actions to be done.

and BTW it'll be very nice to add movement to ads, instead of sudden appear the banner ad can enters the screen from top to reach top center and when disappear it leaves to top etc.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads

    Thanks

waiting for Construct 3 and i hope adding these new features.

  • * Follow path (drawing a path for sprites to follow as in Clickteam Fusion)

    * More animations in Sine behavior and more animation controls.

    * "move to" plugin (should be included within the official C2 releases)

    * Transitions between layouts

    * Advanced camera with easing (ease in \ out)

    * iframe (should be included within the official C2 releases)

    * Squash and stretch for Platform behavior to achieve cartoon like movements without using animation frames

    * Share for android games (opens native android dialog with all installed social apps for share and this is only available with CocoonJS)

this should be an article not just reply, please do it.

and i don't understand number 1 : how to put all images into one sprite ?!

About rotation: do you mean not to use rotation behavior and use just "rotate" action in Event sheet every 0.0333 secs ?

    Thanks a lot

  • New intel XDK update v1878

Can't find anything helpful ! what is the purpose of this update ?!

Same crosswalk 7 option with OpenSSL issue that makes it useless, and Crosswalk 10 option with the same bad performance.

  • shinkan

I'm not doing anything wrong, we tested a flappy bird clone already, check this thread please

    the results was horrible!

i switched to CocoonJS just to save my game on Google Play (OpenSSL issue with crosswalk 7 Alert) and it runs now at 60fps and the APK size is only 11mb

and I'm learning Unity to save my future.

  • BTW

I'm not a developer, I'm a cartoonist, animated film director and game designer, and i like C2 because it allows me to CREATE, no time to study coding from the beginning and I'm not even a developer.

I want to imagine, draw, design and play, i want to make my games without depending on a developer, it is very hard to find a developer who can understand animation , composition and directing as i do.

    This is my job.

C2 developers job is to allow me to achieve that and they can, I'm sure they can, but they don't want to do.

  • Games

Yes I'm ready to pay for that up to 2000$ because if i have the amazing and easy-to-use C2 editor and Native exporter together i can make AWESOME games and gain what i paid in just 2 months.

I can't believe that there is no one can understand the importance and necessity of making native exporters !

we are making GAMES, and games = performance in the 1st place.

No performance = no playing, this is it.

Wasting the CPU power and memory to run a HUGE buggy browser and inside this browser there is a game that needs the whole device power to run!

Again look at this example (flappy bird clone) VERY very simple game.

    https://easyandroidcoding.wordpress.com ... gdx-part-1

I followed this tutorial and the result was : 2mb APK, the image quality is perfect, constant 60 fps. JUST PERFECT!

Someone tell me please how to achieve that using C2 ?! simply there is no way to do that.

the APK size will be at least 16.5mb, installed on +20mb, up to 70% cpu usage, frame rate = 35 fps, and the battery will die very soon!

About my apps on Google store right now :

"Egyptoon app v1.3" is a native android app not C2, I used C2 to make version 1.0 and 1.1, both versions were VERY BAD , so a friend of mine write the new version from scratch 100% native android, the app apk now is very very small and the app works perfectly on all devices.

About the game "Propaganda", Google play sent me an Alert 1 month ago and it'll be removed because i used Crosswalk 7 with C2 and it has an OpenSSL issue that makes Google play refuse the APK but it's playable.

updating to crosswalk 10 made the game completely unplayable, Crosswalk 10 is useless and makes the performance terrible.

I never made a single app or game with C2 for android and runs as i want.

but for webgames C2 is the only perfect choice, only for web and pc users.

  • Jayjay

    EXACTLY.

and C2 will stay Awesome for its amazing editor, the best editor I've worked on ever.

  • digitalsoapbox

Can you please mention 1 single professional game made in C2? just one

do you know why ? Because of what i already said in my reply.

Check games made in Unity and compare it'll be fun to do.

and I'm still saying C2 is Awesome (to play with) in your spare time and have fun with it, not for real serious game production.

C2 is just about 1 step close to be perfect, and this step requires REBUILDING it from scratch and include its OWN native exporter, without this it'll stay USELESS.

  • digitalsoapbox

Thanks for your great advice, i already switched to Unity and I'm learning it now, in case you don't know it is a cross-platform game engine. YEAH

I've no time to develop my own game engine right now, but I'll do soon, and I'll let you know when it's ready.

Thanks and have a nice time with 3rd party issues.
